Beautiful. and sweet recitation of Quran. Powerful and mesmerizing words no matter who reads 1400 years ago or 1000 years in the future. If you don't feel Jannah while you are still alive in your heart, you have way to go. Might God give him Jannah. Might God forgive all that have passed away or will pass away in the future, including us. If they/we are good, might God increase us in good. If we are sinners and many of us are, might God forgive us and clean our slate because he is the only who can. To him who belong, and to him we come back.

The reason why he is holding is because he is blind. If you can see the stand you know where to aim your mouth. However, when your blind, you may not necessarily aim at the mic so its easier to hold it. While doing rukoo3 and sujood and once you stand back up again, you know where the mic is (in your hand) and not have to keep touching around to find it.
mics are not only for singers. it is a tool for enhancing the sound of your voice for everyone to hear. without a mic... only the first few rows would be able to hear
