Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan interview each other and answer questions from viewers about starring in the science fiction-techno-thriller, Source Code.
Both Jake and Michelle in this movie are terrific: immersive, expressive, and intellectual. I’m about to see “Source Code” again for the third time, and I can’t wait. Both Jake’s and Michelle’s characters in this movie need to discover their surroundings and their situation. Jake’s portrayal reminds me of Matt Damon in “The Bourne Identity” as Bourne is discovering his identity; Michelle’s portrayal reminds me of Amy Adams in “Arrival” as she is discovering the nature of the alien contact. All brilliant portrayals. 🥇🥇🥇
Yeah but it's not just about him entering the "source code". He's entering the body of Sean Fentress - a suitable biological match according to the scientist. And the army girl and scientist say those people's lives are irrelevant because they're already dead and because they're in a different dimension (so which is it? irrelevant lives because already dead or different dimension?) But the end of the movie reveals the scientist was lying about not being able to receive contact from the source code dimension because Colter sent a message to the army girl who lets his body die and it's revealed that the lives in the other dimension do matter and continue to live after the averted disaster as the movie ends with a bizarre, selfish happy ending that ignores the life of Sean Fentress whose body becomes forever owned by Colter. So a happy ending for Colter but Sean would strongly disagree.
Anyone with people they love would want to do the same. If you knew you'd be dead in eight minutes you'd want to see those you loved more than anything else. Any other activity would just be pointless.
If I had less than 8 minutes to live, I would do 3 things 1. Eat McDonalds 2. Do my last word search on this tablet 3. Spend my last 8 minutes with my family
The truth is I’ve got the potential to be world famous and incredibly rich With the talents I posses But I am a person who has literally and figuratively hidden away all of his life and it’s because I am scared of the world But can you blame me with everything that I’ve been through
As I say over and over again Most people would have killed them selves And that’s exactly what my adversaries and bullies want And it’s not going to happen EVER
It's hard to believe that the women on the screen Michelle Monaghan has the world record for most male Siemen swallowed. She broke the record at the tender age of 15 and had to get her stomach pumped at the emergency room. Several months later she shot at her first film. Now she's Mrs. Innocent.
