Yes. Some items are regional and not available to all customers across the country so I try to bridge that gap. Also, some items are only available in-store so by listing them online, customers that cant get in-store have access to them.
The shipping charged by FedEx comes out of your payment. I track my monthly shipping as a whole but use $0.40 a lb when estimating individual item profit.
With my experience in reselling, I've learned I cant "think" about it too much because people do crazy things. I might not spend $13 on a salad dressing but someone who cant access this brand and lives in a high-rise in New York might pay that much to have it delivered to their door ;)
I pretty much source the same way I do for Amazon with the biggest different being really small test-buys. I purchase 3-5 items at a time and create my own sales data (Walmart doesnt share much data so it's limited)
I've worked my business fulltime since 2019 selling on Amazon and on Walmart since 2021. It provides for my family of four. Every business is run differently but I do enjoy the freedom to make my own schedule. :)
Depends on the seller, what they sell, how much money they had starting out. I’ve been selling on Amazon for 3 years now and have built up to $1.5 million in sales revenue, which comes out to around $400,000 in profit per year.
