I visited South Africa in oct 2019 and only experienced a small part and my heart yearns to go back because wow 😓 😩🇿🇦 this place was beautiful it was just a feeling I can’t get enough
south africa is nigh the murder , rape , gang , organized crime , heinous crime , drug , capital of the world with WHITE AND WHITE FARMER GENOCIDE AS A FACT So ... SAFETY FIRST ! And the natural Beauty won't be left untainted by the rsa anti CHRIST governance
Great landscapes. I lived in PE for sometime. Boardwalk was built while I was there studying at the then PE Technikon - College Campus right next to Boardwalk. I love this route on my way to Cape Town just for the few stops, sleeping in Mosselbaai, or Knysna sometimes. It's beautiful. Thanks for this and looking forward to more videos...
Thanks so much for reminding me of our holiday in Aug 2019. I took my kids and we visited Cape town and the Garden Route. You are so lucky to live in one of the most stunning places on earth. We had a fabulous time and met some lovely people. We didn't quite get to Port Elizabeth but Cape Town, Franschhoek, Gansbaai, Sweelendam, Oudtshoorn, Cango Caves, Knysna, etc are truly wonderful places. I would urge anyone who loves adventure and travel and can afford it to go here. We actually found it to be very good value. Please don't listen to the haters, as long as you are sensible (as per every country you visit) all you will be left with will be a lifetime of memories. Our first day was spent hiking up Table Mountain and then Lions Head to see the sunset. Truly incredible memories - its actually bringing a tear to my eye writing this :) ps make sure you do the Bloukrans bungy - it was absolutely incredible. The zipline to get to the bungy and the suspended walkway after the bungy are awesome too. Only down side my youngest son (11) was gutted that he was too young to do it.
Wow Matt, your so fortunate to live in such a Awesome, Beautiful part of South Africa, absolutely breath taking, hope you show us more thank You, Cheers
Thank you Matt. I own a small stand in Sedgefield that I hope I could develop later this year. Giving me and dear wify a tiny retirement foothold in the garden route.
South Africa is an amazing place. I lived in Port Elizabeth for 6 months 3 years ago. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I get sad thinking about it I miss it so much.
Wonderful video Matt - many thanks indeed! I have hiked extensively in the Drakensberg but had no idea there were so many breathtaking hiking opportunities down south!! (I live in Dinokeng)
I grew up in knysna and moved to oudtshoorn. I know this place very well and enjoy your video. It bring back a lot of good very good childhood memories. Don't forget to visit the knysna bush!
@@scottb6815 KZN'ers would have a stiff argument with you about that bud - you've just brushed aside the highest mountain range region in the entire country.
I did that drive. Every town along the road is a first name. There is George, Jeffrey, Elizabeth and a bunch of others. Fantastically beautiful part of the world.
Matt. Love your posts. Question. What layers do you use on Gaia? I assume you use the subscribed version? Worth it if you do? Keep your lekke vids coming!
@Brand Bioc-har it was very nice actually but if rain in Hermanus but apart from that it was nothing to complain about. We drove 4 and half thousand miles around the country in 5 weeks. Had no issues at all. Great holiday
Great video Matt, i Will be going to South Africa and driving "Garden Route" next year.... One question, what absolut drones, do i dare to take with me my dji spark? I assume it's not legal to fly in most places in "cape town"? But what about "Garden Route"? Keep Up the Good Travel content 👍
Hi, Matt. I‘m from Brazil an I’m planing to be there in January/February next year. So, I would like to know how the weather is this time of the year. Should I bring some warm clothes?
Like Brazil, it's also in the southern hemisphere, so summer weather. Those months therefore usually the hottest of the year, reaching 40 degrees centigrade + at times. Include a (tracksuit type) top or two, and / or jersey but warm clothing shouldn't be needed most of the time. Nights can get cooler, especially if it rains and the temperature drops, but not like in winter, obviously.
Your getting beautiful footage. Always wanted to learn how to surf, but going to a surf beach that has shark bite kits on hand would give me pause. Never seen a kit like that in Australia. Probably because some idiot would pinch it.
@@mattdubber lol. We are actually having increased shark attacks here in recent years. They stopped shark and croc hunting back in the late 70's and now they are everywhere. They had to restart croc hunting and egg collecting to liscenced hunters to try control them. Sharks seem to be more political (im sure the shark doesn't care) but they've basically become a protected species now, surfers not so much. When one gets attacked, about 1 a week then everyone says they shouldn't be in the sharks habitat. Do you have an opinion ?
Matt m really a big fan of yours n ur FX gun.i really want that gun but indian rule u know but v enjoying to see u n one day I hope we'll meet n take a tips about shooting thanks Matt really enjoying ur videos keep it up
Matt, I love your videos! Best explanations of air gun topics in the whole world, literally. I see from the 2011 census that only 9% of South Africans are white. Is the country highly segregated? A very beautiful country from your videos.
The traditional Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho (bantu people) homelands are in the east of the country. There were Khoi-San in the West but most of them died because their immune sytems couldn’t cope with viruses from the west when they came in contact with the Dutch. So the Western Cape is mostly Afrikaans and the rest of the country is mostly Zulu and Xhosa.
@@mattdubber actually in the western cape province the are 50% mixed people or coloureds 32% black africans 17% whites 1% Asians and Indians. Most spoken language is 49% Afrikaans 31% Xhosa 20% English en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Cape
@@mattdubber The Khoi clans are predominantly absorbed in the Xhosa polity today. Learn a bit about the Dutch-Khokhoi wars and particularly the Xhosa wars. The cultures may no longer exist, but their *genetic* descendants exist today by the millions among the Xhosa.
Very nice! What about study there? If i want to study medicine, can i? and the degree will be valueable? i want to visit South Africa! for hunting and these trips
Hi... When you say you have to book to do a hike... does this mean you cant just pack your camping gear and walk it by yourself is it private land or are you free to roam on these hiking trails? whats the deal...? cheers.... Nice video btw
@@mattdubber Hi Matt thanks for the reply is there a map that shows these routes you have to pay or book in advance for in SA national parks? It would be handy if you know where that info is as I wish to hike all over SA for 6 months in the future... was planning on just setting up route and just going, but from what your saying it wont be as simple as that!.. any help would be appreciated? BTW the Orange River canoe trip was EPIC how many Bucks SA was that trip and can you join solo on that trip? Cheers
Very nice video! On another note: we would love to SA Refugees relocate to North America, if it ever, sadly, comes to that. Thanks again for the video!
