They don't break dance, if you look at it the zulu dance is linked to what later became known as Capoeira, a fighting style that emanated from the Kongo (Angola, DRC, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia...). Capoeira took from these people and not the other way around. Thanks.
I agree when we look at the presidential leg dip. However, when it comes to the Amapiano moves breakdancing is probably in the mix. I remember when Kwaito was big, that’s when I first saw South African dancing. Then it was more clear that breakdancing and Michael Jackson were influences. Hip hop, jazz and house music have definitely made a huge contribution to Afro house music, including Amapiano, so it’s logical that the dance styles have also had an impact. We all inspire each other, and I’m here for it. Fun fact: Manu Dibango’s Soul Makossa started the disco fever in the US in the 70s that birthed house music in Chicago in the 80s and here we are 30+ years later dancing to Afro House
The honest truth is Africa has the most beautiful people in the world. I am from South Africa . Why? Creativity is a gift from God. Passion is from the heart, so is African creativity. Dancing is from the soul, fat ,thin old or young, the body is fluid and moves naturally. A group of total strangers can start a song and you would swear it's a well tuned choir. One can go to our rural areas and find old to young people in Africa who cannot even read or write, you with think are maths wizards making the most intricate beadwork, where most people won't know how to make such perfect designs. Africans are natural dress designers. They are also best dressers ever. I can go on. .... Creativity is a gift from God. You either have it, or not. Have you seen a man prisoner for most his life, come out smiling and dancing and forgiving. Mandela did. Have you seen any billionaire having fun while making money. Elon Musk does. South Africa is beautiful🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

I saw Oprah interview Micheal Jackson once in his house. She asked him where did he learn his moves. Children in the street of Africa. Beyonce even admitted she learned to twerk from South Africa❤
