Play offs best of 3. Bottom of six Nations Vs top six Nations B. One home, one away and one on neutral territory if necessary (that's what I would do.)
The final score is depressive at first look, as one would expect a very big score, but very impressive after a deeper analysis. This score is better than the last game with Georgia which was 46-19 in 2003 world cup. The score is almost the same as the last game of Georgia against New Zealand which was 43- 10 during world cup 2015 where NZ won the world cup. SA achieved this score after not playing since 2019, with a new coach and in the absence of some key regular players such as Mapimpi and Chelsin Kolbe. Not a bad score at all.
Finally an actual kiwi that isn't attacking and trash talking thanks man good to see you and can't wait to clash with the all blacks (hopefully we'll be fit and better prepared)
It's this or nothing mate. As far as I'm concerned we're lucky to have any rugby at all, complaining about the lack of stadium attendance aint gonna do sh**
@Clayton Bax nah it does make it better, when it’s done well, the super rugby crowds before we actually got them back for real last year were real loud and added an atmosphere
Rugby is a rejection of our character that is why we like and love playing rugby, but we really do not have enough games with strong opponents, so we really need games several times a year with such rugby giants as South Africa ... and special thanks for the excellent performance of the national anthem of Georgia !
Very disappointing that normal RU-vidrs beat you to this. Please invest in better social media management. Why should we even subscribe when we can watch better Springbok content elsewhere and early?
Georgia aren't really a challenge although they can apply a decent amount of forward pressure. That being said, just generally over-all for not having played together since 2019, the Boks are looking very stable and put together. We will see when the Lions come knocking.
A bit of rust but expected. My only concern are the ex sevens players. They arent used to the lack if space. Damien Willemse in my opinion showed glimses of his brilliance. Able to make space out of nothing. To me one of the players with huge potential. Fassie also very exciting.
Maybe Google Georgias results against England, Wales and Ireland last year. This is not a bad result for a Bok B team who hasnt played in 2 years. Will only get better
This Springbok setup will only grow in cohesion confidence and skill , they will dominate the poms and win the next world cup . Difference? Consistency and cohesion of coaching staff. First time since readmission that the Boks have a head coach that was involved a victorious world cup .
Your strategy if you are SA, is how are you going to stop NZ in NZ twice?. That should be your strategy pal, because NZ want their rank 1 spot back and in 2021, lol. SA may be World Champions but I still do not think you are as good as NZ. Lions could beat you, if they do in the series with the Rugby Championship looming, where you will lose or gain actual hard points on rankings is where it is at. The Lions is neither here nor their for outsiders, but you playing NZ twice in NZ is, lol.
@@nigpobble2946 Here we go again. Another Kiwi troll weighing in with his 2 cents. I should remind you, the Lions almost beat you in your own back yard a few years ago. And the English gave you a hiding at the RWC more recently. Thank God the Boks were there to restore Southern Hemisphere pride…….
@@mnnh1 south africa dont restore pride, as an english fan we respect the new zealand team and autstralia , sadly SA's are known for there horrific racial abuse and being cheats......and to add to that we wouldnt need to pour over this match you were crap lol you made a tier 2 team look half decent.....
After watching Springboks and The Lions games behind closed doors why wouldn't SRU take the Test series to Twickenham, have a Buble in London and play in front of packed crowd, just how amazing was England v Denmark @ Wembley, who's the game benefiting in SA?? It's nearly same time zone so tv viewing won't matter and SA can make some money they need from Gate sales as a Home away from home team....
Yes Sir, same here :). We know NZ have something to prove that they are in reality the best, this year I hope they can prove it, but it will be very difficult. Today is a start, but the likes of SA are going to be a crapload harder as we know. But those 2 games played in NZ :P, if NZ are to get back that rank 1 spot, this year could be the year they do it. A bit unlucky for SA going to have to play NZ twice in NZ tbh, but that this la la land Coronavirus thing they made up for you in it, laid waste to our lives.
@@IsanG08 You could put your A and B team on the field against the AB's and still lose. 40-9 with a YELLOW card advantage against Georgia, disgusting, leave the sport South Africa. Go play soccer.
agreed. By the looks of it, All Blacks doing way better than any current team in the world in my opinion. (Doesnt matter if this is the B team or what) but yeah.
@@IsanG08 was it really though. this isn't the best possible lineup in a couple of positions but the forward pack is all 1st choice and there's plenty of talent in every position
@@IsanG08 That's themost pathetic excuse. So your saying South Africa lack depth to field players to beat a team by 100 as they should have, just say it. Didn't deserve the WC, can't beat any top teams, are probably about the 6th or 7th ranked team in terms of reality.
Let's not forget ,guys, that georgia is number 12 in the world and they brought a really good fight. There is potential in every position for the boks and they do need to get better for the lions but also don't underestimate the Georgians cuz they really put up a fight.
@@thisarfingai The Tongan team had players at club level, not even ITM cup level...many debutants. The Tongan players were mostly based in NZ already and the players from EU etc. did not come to play. NZ struggled when they returned to test rugby, losing to Argentina etc. Well done to NZ for getting 102 though.
I'm sure they will. They haven't played as a team since 2019RWC after all. A warm up against a physical side, and without any players injured, I'd say it was a worthwhile outing.
@@superbok4517 yeah I know but I actually know someone who knows his mother personally and she said he is gonna do everything he can to get back in time and in form for the tour
@@pretophil7632 A huh, and Georgia are weak as are Canada earlier today against Wales, but Wales looked laborious and slow, with some of their main guys missing, but where is the depth from them and SA although 1st game in nearly 2 years, a bit rusty, but again, they have their own league in SA, but they look very behind that of NZ if I am honest, I think NZ have something to prove this year and the rest may be astonished at what they might be able to pull off. Tonga were terrible i have to admit, but 102 is no excuse. You are either South African or English, yes?. Use to such comments now, they are boring and you always end up with eggs on your faces you two sides.
On the downside: Frans looked overweight and one-dimensional, but he did have experience with his decision-making. Kwagga is not a number 8 at the highest level, but good at this level. Elton is appallingly bad and should be dropped completely from the squad; he is a liability. Etzebeth - early cracked rib. Specman looked isolated and lost but had no clear opportunities. Orie has to be very careful regarding penalties - he can lose tight games by giving penalties!! Positives - front row plus bomb squad front row looked excellent. Both hookers are exceptional. Both fly-halves fought well for the bench behind Faf. PSDT and Mostert were on fire. We still have many great players waiting to play - Faf, Am, Kolbe etc.
Without Duane Vermeulen and Tendai Mtawarira there is a huge leadership gap and it will be clear for all to see. Playing in an empty stadium as well, this could be a 3 nil white wash.
@@chrisschroder3812 Leadership gap I said, ability at proffesional rugby level is like an asshole - everyone has it. But leaders are what separate the good teams from the great.. those players with a commanding prescence that pushes the next guy to just want to play better and give everything even with few words. That is what we saw at the 2019 Rugby Championship & World Cup. I hope Duane will be at a 100%
@@lithaqwase4499 they would make more money if fans were there. In fact this was done for the players welfare. Doing it for the fans would be more selfish.
you're right. Lelos is 80% young guys who played in U20 two years later. they are gaining good experience and knowledge and I think they will be ready to show interesting rugby by the world championship. by that time they will grow up and gain more strength))))
@@elleventer5911 Yes I can and we have better players then that two.. Elton cost us few points and Damian just want to do it himself where there is an overlap with that attitude they will cost the boks a game....so please be quite if you cannot analyse the change of game plan when they came on....
The Whole South African Team Are Playing Predictable Rugby Don't Blame 2 Or 3 Players For That Please....South Africa's Inability 2 Give The Ball Air Are The Reason They're Rugby Are Boring,A Player Can Be In Space And The Ball Carrier Would Rather Go 2 Set Piece Than Offload.Frans Steyn,Jesse Kriel And The Whole Forward Pack Would Rather Run Over People Than To Run In Space And Put The Guy Next To Him In A Position To Score...So Dont Criticize 2 Or 3 Players While The Whole Match Day Squad Are Playing Predictable Boring Rugby Please....
Hi Gary here - well done NZ for win RWC19 , oh no wait SA(Bokke) won. That's a Kiwi for u.Still smarting, pride is still hurting.Y b so nasty move on already.Don't treat yr team as the holy grail bcos disspointment and heartbreak weighs heavy lesson 101 u welcome😉
Why is Le Roux and Steyn still in that team we should be building for the next world cup now we have plenty of young talent available Fasi the best 15 at the moment why play him at wing when we hav plenty of young wingers mxim..🙄🙄
how are all you gimps saying south Africa are screwed for lions. South Africas performance was by no means perfect but was certainly much better than the lions performance against japan lol.
@@fearmorpiercemacmaghnais7186 i would argue that georgia is more of a challenge than japan for south africa due to the physicality of the georgians, it challenges south africa. I live in ireland and support the lions and both south africa alike as my father is south african but im just sayin its stupid to say that south africa are screwed.
