Thank you. 😆 You are welcome. Yes, it's corn flour. In South Africa we call it Maize. Maize is finer than corn flour, hence the smoothness. It is very similar to Polenta and Grits. 👌 I hope that helps. 💛
Hi Kasikwa, so most people in South Africa Don't add butter and cheese to their Pap. The Traditional South African Pap is made with water, Maize meal and salt.
Hello J, Fufu and Pap are different. The textures for Fufu is sticky and Pap is not sticky at all. Fufu is a West African dish usually made with water, salt, cassava, plantains and cocoyams. (Methods may differ) Pap is a South African dish, you need maize meal, salt and water to make it. Fufu and Pap are similar in the sense that both can be enjoyed with stew and traditionally, people used their hands to eat this dish. I hope my answer helps you. 😊
@@PananaTV salt is never added to west African fufu.moreover south african pap I believe has been influenced by Europeans settlers with the addition of cheese, butter or cream. While the Zambian or Zimbabwean version are more like their west African ones.
Now why?Eheee! Why would you add cheese to pap? Just tell me why?😳🧐 i saw another South African video a woman was adding butter why would you do that? Pap is supposed to be cooked pure no other ingredients should be added to it…..
@@j3z4i27 no, they are not the same thing. In Zambia and Zimbabwe we don't add cheese or butter in it. I prefer the original African one. I think the south african one has European influence in it with butter and cheese.
I would eat that 🎉just being eating skips an wounding what mazie is but the buy it in big bags in South Africa, I wish I had a South African woman 👩 🥰😍they are hot 🥵

Hi Kevin, 😊👋 cheese, butter and aromat enhances the flavour of pap. There is nothing wrong with the authentic flavour of Pap, but there's also nothing wrong with adding different flavours to original and traditional dishes. It's really good. You should try it. I have both, depending on the occasion or my mood. 👍😁
Love your content but I feel like you're going to wear yourself out responding to such nonsense. Do your thing and heart these kind of things and move. I've had cheesy pap before. It's amazing
