I've worked for a white owned company only once. Twice for blacks. Today i own 3 companies, I live in South Africa and I have no intentions of leaving. I'm 35 years old and I'm politically active, i was a councillor under EFF in Johannesburg, but now I'm part of people who are building Action SA a new political party. I own land in the villages and also in Johannesburg. South Africa 🇿🇦 is the youngest country in Africa just 28 years old. We're in the process of doing injustices of the past, so our mess must not give any luxury to be an educator or holier-than-thou attitude. People who gained independence way ahead of south africa are in ruined countries. Attacking south africa without the knowledge of why it is the way it is, is purely being naive. We have constitution, freedom charter, bill of rights and human rights. Comparing south africa of 1990 and of today there's a huge difference and progress.
@Warrior of Truth you have inferior complex superiority. Whites needed blacks to do whatever, vice-versa. Only Ethiopia was not colonized in africa, why did their colonizers didn't develop for them if you really believe Whites are greatest developers. It shows this world needs people to work together regardless of the colour of their skin. That's where south african leaders became smarter to rest. South African villages can't be compared to any village in africa we are far ahead. I've traveled africa I know what I'm talking about. Hence township is a miracle to many african foreigners. Just bite your tongue when it comes to the issue of minerals. We're the largest producers of gold and platinum, infact platinum in South Africa is owned by black people. We have Gold refinery in Germiston, we don't sell raw materials. If you see Whites as saviors why don't you advice those countries to invite Whites to come invest and develop those countries? Who is denying them access to Whites saviors? And if we speak truth WHITES own the economy of the world 🌎 and they designed systems globally to guard their interests. So the other way to win is to work with them on our african rules. African Americans becoming RU-vid history teachers while they also can't help africa is pointless. Bring dollars to africa and open businesses to impact africa, don't make noise at the comfort of your house. Today Zimbabweans are scattered globally without sense of belonging because you told them to take the land the white house put sanctions on Zimbabwe and yet you failed to March to the white house to remove sanctions on Zimbabwe until today. I think most South African have forgotten what the word Ubuntu is. I grew up in the rural South Africa but I never went to bed hungry because in the villages they try to share the little they have with neighbours. When I go back, I always come back bearing gifts because black people are naturally giving, caring, etc. Ubuntu did not mean everyone had equal, but it meant no one was in need. There were still people living above the rest, but no one poor in the past. So just because you made it don't say every thing is fine. That lacks Ubuntu to me. Now that I am in the suburbs, I don't know my neighbours in the gated community reason being my neighbours are all races. With regards to racism, I never thought I would experience it as an educated black person, however, I experienced it a couple of times. In the road driving, etc. Also my black brothers driving taxis (mini buses) can be rough too though but whites will call you names too quickly. The worst discrimination is in the corporate where salaries are not the same between races. I think we can not emphasize racism and forget the good blacks do for each other too. You will never find a homeless person in the villages. Yes, they may have too little compared to those who live in the cities but they treat each other with respect. And our villages are improving too. Mud houses are decreased. You can check Velile Lifestyle and Decor RU-vid channel.

I’m understanding Lozi…hate to see him cut off… I’m a foundational black American who’s been to South Africa 3 times and will be back next week for another 2 weeks… My oldest first-cousin is 65 with 26 years service as Bay Area Rapid Transportation police in California; and his younger brother is 63 year-old Air Force veteran who retired at 38… I’m a multigenerational-born New Yorker, hbcu attendee, U.S. Army Intelligence-matriculated aviationist, so I’ve lived and breathed this black American experience. My grandfather was born 1915 and grandmother born 1919. I say what I say above because goblack got a funny-kind of “condescension” to his style at times, and he seemingly equates his “age” with wisdom (which strikes me as his being a “young soul,” actually.) I like what Mbulelo alluded to about the credibility of outsiders coming with opinions… I tell my South African constituents all the time that it’s not my place or my business to speak on SA issues; that I get the notion of and bad-classification of “xenophobia” because it’s undermining to their pain and their issues at home while opening door to outsiders who don’t care about anything but advantaging as best possible for themselves under the conflicting circumstances; I tell them that as a foundational black American with FBA as my “tribe”-we ourselves haven’t or aren’t doing what we’re supposed to-so the best I can do is have awareness of what’s going on and be supportive and sympathetic where expedient. Always appropriate to tread lightly when speaking on other peoples’ plight/pain…. Opening discussion about other peoples’ predicament or pain is an “internet” thing.
Well said, how do you get to a place and start telling people that they fall short based on looking around and speaking to a few people? How about trying to understand where and how far they've come? What is he trying to achieve, the guy is patronizing and condescending. I saw him interviewing Dr Asad and you could see that their excitement about SA gave him palpitations. The FBA who have the means should come and choose were they wanna buy property and enjoy the diversity of SA while he goes back to the proud boys and the possibility of being murdered by the police for driving or banking while black in the so called first world country.
The point that many miss is that European and Euro-American colonialism is the same system that oppresses African people globally. Such colonialism is often manned by people that look like us. That oppression may have nuances based on environment but it's the same system. This is a Global struggle to liberate African people from colonialism and must be fought on every front where African people reside across the planet otherwise we will continue to be simply pissing in the wind!

Most black folks in America have Stockholm syndrome and a victim mentality.
Sisi Pheshi is right that South Africa is changing, more blacks are empowered and you can come a foreigner and start a business in South Africa without too much hustle and the system is working as it should. GB2A, is a typical AA on RU-vid with no formal education and reads just enough information about a country or situation and now he's an expert. South Africans be very aware of these types of people; it's odd that he would come all the way to SA, and focus on racism, when he in fact can't even walk the streets of his own country without being harassed by the cops. If he were so successful in America he wouldn't have the time to be roaming around Africa trying to make them feel less than him, there are many blacks who are doing just fine; if you study the blacks who are having problems they are most often the ones who are economicly disadvantaged and not always caused by the Man. A number of us are downtrodden because we accept or refuse to better ourselves. America is one of the few places on the earth where we can actually get ahead, we need to let go of this notion that it's always about racism, of course, it is, but should that stop you from excelling? The problem with AA is, that the race card doesn't work anymore! We've played it to much, now we're stuck. Ask GB2A one simple question, with all of the ills in America would he ever give up his passport? The answer is absolutely not, so stop with the trash take about the USA, and leave those African people alone, typical Americans, always causing discord everywhere we go.
I agree with some of what you said. But there are MANY successful black people in America. Look at all if the actors, actresses, and successful business men and women in America. I’m a black female. No one has held me back from being successful-No one! My husband and I are very successful. We’re there obstacles, sure there was....But at the end of the day no one can stop you if you are determined to succeed. I think guys like GoBlack build their platform off of black folks here in America who have a victim mentality and who blame the white man for their own problems that has resulted from bad decisions that they have made. There’s a lot I could say concerning us as black people in America but many would get offended. I do not know the history of SA so I wouldn’t dare speak on the issues of SA.
Ohio! Excellent ideas for educated anyone who will listen. This idea of getting south Africans to share their thoughts I'd awesome indeed! Keep on doing things few RU-vid have thought about.
Well said, I think every man should stay in their own country and build. Instead of going to other people's country and reaping where they did not sow. Also having so many opinions about the people in that country that look like them. Most don't even know the history or struggle of the people in that country. It is even more harmful when you come to another man's country and then you align yourself with the people who don't look like you. Black men should learn to work together to build in their own country. Instead of asking other races of men to come in build for them so they could be workers . Learn how to be leaders and work together . That's what men and other races do. You never hear them asking other men to take care of them and provide for them and their family.

I mean, we don't like to glorify areas such as that but maybe if we (those content creators in the States) can come together and compile "our slums" we call them the projects though, maybe it can help our black brothers and sisters in Africa as a whole see that we too have those areas. Disclaimer though because again, I can only speak on what I see in America. We do have some whites (what Africa calls the minorities) that live in our projects as well which nothing is wrong with that but America will never show that. So, I think it seems like Tumelo is speaking on transparency from the U.S. side. So they can see.
Its important for us to realize that everyone's experience is valid and holds just as much water as any other person's. A person living in the slum's experience is just as valid as an educated, rich kid or family . We need to stop trying to push people to the back of the line and claiming that we can speak on their behalf. Even if their english is poor, their experience counts just as much as yours. I understand the sentiment of not wanting outsiders to call out your flaws, but this experience exposed classism.
Why come all the way from the US to expose claasim in Mzansi as if the US is 100%? Which exam is this that Mzansi is supposed to be taking in the eyes of these uppity AAs? This only exposes the superiority mentality of some of you African Americans.
I also want to add that my intention is not to make anyone feel bad. I understand where this hierarchy comes from. We have historically had chiefdoms and such has subconsciously led us to where we are today. I had to become self aware and take a good look at my thought process to realize that i needed to do better.
I have also realized that our experiences of the last 400 years could also be adding to our misunderstanding each other. Water under the bridge. No hard feelings, Mzansi still loves you and when you come here, we will welcome you home.
Jozi, in my opinion incorrectly framed his argument around racism. I think he was more referring to the impacts of slavery vs apartheid on people’s lives today. It sounds like he was trying to describe his experience as being a part of the majority-Black South Africans, whom only re-gained political power 25 years ago after decades of civil unrest & war, the White minority owning the majority of wealth and most arable lands that have been passed down from generation to generation. You can feel the heaviness in South Africa & in Namibia. Their pain is from much more recent events. It’s very different to environments we live in the west. It would be similar to me comparing my lived experience today as a Black Australian to that of an Indigenous Australian. No comparison. Indigenous Australians endure much more hardship, discrimination and pain than I ever will in this country because they no longer “own or are in control of their land”. That’s not to say that black people aren’t discriminated against in Australia though but connection to land is spiritual for Black people and I can completely understand why South Africans would feel uncomfortable or even incensed by westerners comparing our experience to theirs, given the recency of events. I think that’s where the miscommunication or confusion was.
Thanks. I agree he had a observation that didn't need him to experience racism in America to explain why just on basic fundamentals, the 2 are the same but probably much different on many levels. I have never been to SA. But when I do visit I won't expect the same discrimination of America. Why should it be the same? Goblack has shown us that discrimination is found more or less in 80% of the places he's shown us. It's always going to be different depending on where you are living IMO. :)
Great analogy..this is probably what the young man was going to say. It's so logical if we only understand the differences in the historical timelines and the results of them.:)
You have black SAns like the Jozis and the Lizus and Augustines who are doing well in SA and you have the rest who are actually the majority and atill suffering.Same in other african countries. Iready knew that.
So exactly what is the issue with you and SA rich and poor people are found in all African countries. You have countries who gained independence 60years ago but there's inequalities. Why do you expect SA to be a promise land
SA has Uber rich upper middles class Middle class Working class Lower class "poor but supported by the government through social grants, free housing, free health care, free education lower and higher ect.
Hi Brother go Black to Africa ❗... I just wanted to remind you and others of memorandum 46 , when Jimmy Carter was in office they wrote up a bill called memorandum 46 which was designed to put a wedge of separation between our people here in America and those we could build relationships with in Africa....

Fellow Afrikans, I need you all to check out this channel call The Peso Man, watch his videos, read the comments section and see how some of these AA's view us Afrikans and you will have a better understanding of who this guy is.
@@simpletruth1369 Check out this channel The Peso Man by AAs talking about our IQ and how dumb we're. If they're so smart why can't they improve their hood or ghettos in the States. These guys come to Afrika with different intentions. They can't be trusted, not people to rely on. They're no different from their white masters.
I find this topic about Apartheid quite interesting when you have young youth talking about it as if they were living there during Apartheid , These speakers are all post Apartheid . Democratic people living under a black government that's literally dismantled all there futures and taken all there opportunities and promises away from them.. . I didn't hear any of these speakers mention the ANC ... This criminal organization is to blame for most of the issues we see in south Africa today not Apartheid.. . The Corrupt leaders who've looted for decades without a single shame. . That's The true problem here. . Apartheid system is long gone .... There's more racial based laws now under the ANC than under the apartheid regime ...Blaming the whites for todays issues is really getting old now....
GB2A, have you heard about black tax? I sugget you explore that topic further to really understand being a black middle or upper class citizens in South Africa.
GoBlack2Africa to Africa Brother, connect with the " Real South African " for more information Brother, I love your Channel very Much, keep on going Brother 😁🙋♂️👋👋
I gotta question for You @GoBlack Isn’t that just folks expecting a tip?- Regarding the extortion testimony? Because My wife and I were big believers in tipping. Because folks work hard and they earn that! I mean we were raised to respect working people! And this is one of The ways we do this. And support locally. I mean, I dunno! Feel free to expound. Because must’ve missed the intrinsic part of Your point with that! Unless of course You’re referring to a real extortion of a something going there, that Needed to be addressed. Other than that; so far it’s a gratuity Thing I’m hearing out of this. I don’t know please do expound?
