Here we have the trash train heading back to Darlington with GT power. This is one of my newest crossing installations. Crappy E-bell, but otherwise, it's nice.
General question, why do I see more E-bells now than M-bells, or towns Safetran M-bell was replaced with a Safetran E-bell, why is the railroad switching bells?
The reason they replaced all the mechanical bells with Electronic Bells, was because the mechanical bells have moving parts and if something's broken, they have to pay a liability. But for the E-Bells, if something is wrong, it sends something down in Homewood, IL where everything is, and dispatch knows about it immediately and not to mention, these break down a lot less.
