There are only like 50 people on antennas these days and everyone tuned in to watch CC and Iowa play. That's it! Wouldn't matter who they were playing.

Why do they keep focusing on Caitlin Clark . Her team didn't win and she's not the only player of the two teams . The media is putting to much emphasis on her . She is just one of the good players of college women basketball . Let South Carolina shine for their victory .

Because it was Caitlin Clark's last game and all they care is about the ratings/viewership. They focused much on LeBron and Curry losing to different team that won in the finals.

It was live on ESPN in New Zealand. I was following NC State Women, then had to watch Elite 8 / Final 4 and the final. Thank you, Iowa, just watching clips of how many supporters turned up for your trainings. Each team had a GOAT, so I enjoyed the match ups. I tuned into the final not to support South Carolina. Iowa girls you may have lacked height, but you took it to them and stood tall and the main reason so many tuned in to watch the final. Support Women In Sports.

It's so ridiculously noticeable that neither of these reporters have the ability to focus on the phenomenal accomplishment of Dawn Staley and a predominately Black basketball team! It's more I could say but I will keep it respectful!

I am 71 and have watched women's basketball from the 1970s, only the old-school pro football players from the 50s and 60s have the same intensity.I recall the debates for a womans pro league

I agree it will not be the same but disagree the fans will follow CC to the WNBA with the exception of a short honeymoon period. The WNBA is horrible and within a short time the CC fans will lose interest and quit watching. Women don't even like the WNBA much less guys. It is a dead end and I would bet CC will not play for long but will instead move into broadcasting or advertising.

Its the multi-million ad campaign...Clark was merely the beneficiary, "the face" of the promotion campaign. No promotion campaign? Then nobody knows Clark. Don't think so? Bull....the LSU - SC womens game outdrew the Boston Celtics - Miami Heat game and CC was no where on the court. Womens basketball was already steadily climbing every year since Clark was in middle school - Clark merely came along at the right time to be the "face" of the first multi-million dollar womens basketball Ad campaign. After Clark leaves, just like when Bird, Magic, and Jordan left, the game will keep moving forward and new stars and new teams will emerge. In a word - the game won't miss CC. Just like every other player, CC will never be bigger than the game. Period. End of story.
