As a Razorback fan, you are correct on all points. Our top secondary guys were out (Myles Slusher should be back next week, Jalen Catalon is sadly done for the season with surgery) so time will tell if our pass defense improves. But the Gamecocks never stopped fighting and gave a great game. This is why the SCAR/ARK series is the most underrated in the SEC.

Arkansas is missing its two best secondary players and was at the mercy of about a dozen bogus penalties that gave South Carolina dozens of chances to move the ball.

@@shchorss yeah and South Carolina had 3 starters on the defense come out during the game to never return. Let’s not forget the play where Jefferson fumbled the ball on that stretch for the TD in what should of been a turnover on downs but got 7 points instead. But it was 44-30, you gave up 380 yards through the air to a “trash team” (so your fans say) at home. 2 td win, celebrate it. Thats the score. You have to have depth at this level, which clearly you dont have. We had 5 starters on d out from half way through the 3rd through the rest of the game. It only gets tougher from here.

Onside kick recovered to the 10 yard linr, ark punches it in. If Arky is a top 3 team in the SEC so they say, im excited for the rest of the season. Because we had the chance to beat them multiple times that game, on the road nonetheless.

@@khazzeron based on what? Arkansas's offense was as efficient as it could be and it's good, however there are some things that have to be concerning if you are an Arkansas fan. You get a fumble, interception, the team playing against you misses an extra point, the give you great field position on a bad punt, you get a safety, your Qb is almost perfect a 7 of 11, you run the ball like you want and dominate the line of scrimmage. Oh, and by the way you have 35 min time of possession. Yet, the opposing offense has over 400 yards and scores 30 points. That's with an okay offense that's still trying to gel. When Alabama, Ole Miss, and Miss St come to town they aren't going to have those issues.

Ya our secondary is suspect it's my only worry about our team everywhere else we are pritty solid and will clean up more down the road. But our defense front is going to have to over perform evey week bringing heat on the qb to try help offset our secondary problems. We should get 1 our guys back this week should help I hope. I think with a better line, Rattler would be really good. He showed flashes of being really dangerous. I just think he needs a little more time to throw the ball.

From a Netflix show called QB1 , and Oklahoma, but he got benched last season, so not sure why they thought he'd be good in a tougher conference. He was really good in HS, so his hype coming into college was sorta justified, but coming to the SEC was not.

Too much hype from the AZ prep Pinnacle High School days (11K yds passing , 4 year starter). Lincoln Rielly has no hair left from Rattler's days as a Soone Ar QB guru that couldn't make him productive under the spotlight. When the game gets close he does NOT perform well.

@@geraldjoseph8007 and yet he is 16-3 as a starter. Rattler has as much talent as any Qb in the country, with a bad O-line. It does matter what Qb you put in SC offense right now, they would ALL struggle. I'm not saying he's perfect, but the young man has some of the greatest abilities in the country. He forces things he doesn't have to, but from a pure talent perspective he's up there. It's easy for Brice Young, KJ, even Stenson Bennett. They all play behind GREAT offensive lines.
