South Dakota Public Land Mule Deer Hunting 

I get that sentiment Cory, and can appreciate it. We were unaware of the state of the herd before going. Learned a lot on this trip. We'll be more aware an selective if we come back. We are grateful for the meat in the freezer though. Thanks for tuning in. Are you an SD resident?

@@huntxp I am a SD resident. They don't publish anything about the drastic decline in mule deer numbers that I know of. They don't talk about why or how to fix it. I believe it is a combination of CWD, the state and tribes both giving way too many tags. The whitetail bounce back fast but the mule deer are not as resilient. I am not sure if the whitetail expansion hurts the mule deer or not.

@@huntxp We live on private land in Mellette Co. Seen a few mulleys but no matter what we would not harvest one. If someone did on our land they would be banned for life. There are a lot of whitetails and the trophy quality is pretty high in the right places. I am picky and took a cull whitetail buck.

@@CoryRizzMMA you’re a snooty one ain’t ya get out of here with that. Living in a state doesn’t mean you own the “herd” they bought tags and you watched a video. Go lobby to your local Councilman or county leaders not pick on these guys here. You use nice words but aren’t. They want to say it but you’re technically a customer anyway. In upstate ny my neighbors slaughter everything only yearling whitetail around what can you do nothing. They have tags, you’re crying and have 2 species 😂😂
