An HQ version of the South Freo song. Other uploads have either had the outro or the second verse cut. This is the complete version, first time on RU-vid.

Coming off the back of about five years of just Subiaco thrashing teams by 100 points at an empty Perth Stadium, you had the local South Freo crowd packing into a smaller venue with much more atmosphere, and witnessing a classic 3-point finish. I really hope they continue playing the grand final at local venues, because there's no way they're going to get anything more than a quarter-full at Perth Stadium. I genuinely hope better days are to come for the WAFL. The SANFL in the 2000's was dominated by a single club (Central Districts), and no one showed up to games, but then after the turn of the decade, we had teams like Sturt and the Eagles rise up, and people in SA started taking interest in the game again. As a Subiaco supporter, I really hope we start getting teams like South Freo, Perth Demons and Swans playing well, because they are the teams with some of the more passionate fanbases these days. While I don't live in SA, it seems like most people barrack for either the Crows or Power, and then all the footy diehards will also have a team in the SANFL. In WA, most people go for the Dockers or Eagles, but pretty much the only people who support WAFL teams are older people who grew up with the WAFL as the major competition. In SA, you have traditions like the West End Chimney, which is decorated in the colours of the SANFL premiers each year. You would never find anything remotely like that in WA for the WAFL. While I am a Freo supporter, I really wish the AFL had instead brought in a WAFL team like what they did with Port. Port Adelaide are proud of their history, and even though they rebranded when they joined the AFL, that history lives on each week when they wear the black and white and take on another South Australian side. Port Adelaide have brought awareness about the SANFL towards SA's football public, meanwhile there is no WA equivalent. Freo have the Peel Thunder as their reserves side, but it's not like they're campaigning for the AFL to let them wear the Thunder colours for Derbies the same way Port want to wear the prison bars. Apologies for the long comment but I think that despite covid, 2020 was a great step forward for the dying WAFL, and I hope the future is bright for local footy in WA despite a long rough patch
Swan Districts has to be my favourite, but I will say that South Freo have absolutely nailed having an original tune. Other clubs (notably West Coast) have tried but turned out pretty bad.
