Goa was predominantly Hindu before Portuguese invasion. Officially on records 700 temples were destroyed and large section of Hindus and even some Muslim population was persecuted by Portuguese during protuguse Catholic inquisition. This is by europeans accounts only. It just that demographic has some how to a bit regained its original number. Your St. Xavier was leader of inquisition by Portuguese. Ironically we have lots of institutes in India named after him. Please read history.

Hi mam, I am planning a trip to goa with my wife. Our plan is just to chill at beach, have good konkan food (fish/shrimp) may be just visit 1-2 places (those that are must). Can you suggest best place to stay like between South or north or some where in the middle from where everything would be in vicinity?

Hi Tanya! That was a good vlog! Just a thing to clarify to u, St. Francis Xavier's (at Bom Jesus Basilica, Old Goa) body was not MUMMIFIED when it was burried. Yet, it has remained intact without any use of preservatives. That's why we catholics believe it's a miracle and have a strong devotion to him.

Great video! I was actually amazed to see how economically advanced Goa is, they have a GDP per capita PPP of $21,140! Similar to Bulgaria. Compare this to Bihar’s $2,170.
