The Tustin South Blimp Hangar, A Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. Built during wartime in 1942 at the former Marine Corps Air Station, the hangar is one of the largest wooden structures ever built in the U.S.
The South Hanger was used in the Tom Hank's, HBO series, "From The Earth To The Moon". One square acre of moon surface was built, inside the door, near Jamboree, to film the scenes on the moon.
