Head on out to Camp Cove, this is where Captain Phillip and his first fleet first set foot on land. A great place to begin the South Head Heritage trail. Park at
the Camp Cove car park, again get there early for a spot although we noticed quite a few spots out on the street. Maybe different during the warmer months.
Head on down towards Camp Cove Beach, youll find a kiosk there, grab some snacks and a coffee as this is the only shop along the trail.
Down on the right side of the beach are pine stairs that take you up to the trail, here you will find toilets, it is a 30 min to 1 hour loop from here depending if
you want to take your time exploring. Along the way you will come across fantastic views of Sydney Harbour, have a walk along Camp Cove Beach first,
check out the fortification, old canon and gun emplacements from the 1850's. Again get there early if you want to check out Lady Jane Beach before the nudists
come. Lastly check out the red and white lighthouse and homes from the 1850's. Enjoy your day.
