@Sul sur Please kindly walk into any of the restaurants in the west that says “ Indian Food” or any of the food blogs by non-Indian , clearly the wood being tasted and served is Panjabie food. As mentioned above in my comment previously each region has its own unique food inheritance . Nothing wrong with giving credit to the region it came from, give credit where it is due.

But again, I only say this because you've studied medicine - try reading a little about alternate forms of Eastern therapies and 'eastern medicine'. (I say this assuming you've studied western medicine). Spirituality too. The human brain is a complex thing and even the greatest neurologist in the world probably doesn't know exactly how the brain works. Again, please do it with an open mind :)

There is no hatred against Brahmins. There is contention against recognizing cast, something which our constitution aims to abolish to suppress institutional racism, rather than anything personal against the man or his family. The moment we start associating cultural values with caste, we take the first step towards caste-based discrimination. Hence its all right for us to be proud of our geographical roots, being a Tamilian in this case, but not of our caste, being a "Tam Brahm". For perspective, imagine a video of a White old dude saying he is proud of being a white restaurant owner for 20 minutes. Your perception towards that might be very different.
