Galveston Texas is my second home and the jetties will hold a lot of good fish all year round. I set off with Billy Ray from Saltwater Soul and Capt. Cody Dunn from Sea Star Base Galveston; we are fishing for sheepshead. Now if you've never fished for sheepshead they are fun to catch and despite of what a lot of people think, their meat is top notch. Our setup- 20-30lb mono leader around 2 feet long, connect the leader to your main line using a 35lb swivel or higher, use a split shot weight or 2 (depends on water currents), use a tribble hook but Capt. Cody Dunn prefers a J Hook. I used both, seems like the tribble hooks got crushed a lot so I switched to a J Hook.
We had a blast we all caught our limit in sheepshead, and the guys hooked up to some red drums too. Over all a great day out on the boat. Great weather, great fish, and better company.

Lol yes they are. This boat is more for the bay & low water areas but it's a beast too. The weather conditions were in our favor on this trip

Awesome video bro. I can see my boat in the back ground. That was a beautiful day. Did y’all make a video from this past Wednesday? I was out there with y’all again. The reds were on fire. I was getting that cross fit workout. I landed 18 reds only three under 28. It was a blast. I love the saltwater soul brand. I need to join y’all on your shore patrol. 🤙

Awesome! Every time I looked over you were killing it out there! Man I was soooo sick out there, I was in survival mode lol. But I kept it together enough to make a video. You're right it was on fire, so much fun. I'm making a 2 part video because of all the action. As soon as things get back to normal you should come out on a clean up. Texas All Water Fishing that sucks. It did get a little rough out there. My girlfriend was on the boat having meetings for work. She started to feel a little sick. I was telling her please hold it together you will be ok. Don’t think about it. She roughed it out. Thank god. She started catching reds every cast. I’m sure that helped 🤙

A lot of people say they're trash fish, too many bones, and too hard to clean. Most capt that charter the area say that's far from the truth. I saw Capt Cody Dunn clean these fish in a matter of minutes. As far as safe to eat, I'm sure they are. I'd get out there & get some groceries 🤙🏼🔥

@@socrplayr21792 Scale, gut and cut head off. Cut vertical slits in fish. Fill cuts with butter and Cajun seasoning. Place on grill with mesquite wood charcoal. ENJOY!!!!
