I mixed all their albums until a few years ago with their last album called "Underscore Within" that got major success. This is a version i've mixed for a remaster edition of the Nord Of Paradise album.
South of Heaven was the first song i listened when i re-got into Slayer. I listened to reign in blood a year ago and kinda forgot them. In this summer i heard the south of heaven riff in a video and loved it, so i checked the song. It was and its still one of my favorite Slayer songs. I wish the album itself was as great as the song, but i should give a relisten.
I was just reading some old comments, and yeah i gave south of heaven a relisten until Ghost Of War. Album is amazing, i don't know how the hell i forgot most songs.
Slayer showing the best of 2 catholic boys,one devout, one non practicing,plus an agnostic and an atheist in the band. I feel this antagonist aspect is why they were great. Araya is just a big teddy bear lol
