You'll notice that South Park wasn't always consistent with names. For example, Butters' dad is named Chris first and then becomes Steven. (Or maybe the other way around, I forget.) Jimmy's last name changes at some point. Here, Batdad's name changes from Tom to Chris just in this episode. I think it's because Trey wrote the scripts under such time pressure. (Also it seems like Chris is Trey's favorite name for a one-off character -- my favorite Chris being a certain newscaster whose last name I don't want to give away if you haven't seen the episode.)

People don't notice that Kenny is sitting just next to Kyle with that cap.😅😅

Speaking of not recognizing the kids when their not in their normal outfits, the kid with blond hair and a red baseball cap sitting between Kyle and Butters at Whistlin' after the first game Willy's is Kenny.

Randy's fighting subplot is full of reference to the "Rocky" series of movies like Randy looking like he's about to swallow raw eggs as he begins training for his fight, Randy expressing his self doubts to his wife (in "Rocky" it was his girlfriend) the night before his big fight, yelling as he confesses to his wife that he's afraid, Batdad being dragged away and yelling to Randy "I want you, Marsh! I want you!", Rocky's trainer, Mickey, appearing to him when he's almost knocked out and telling him to get up and fight, the "Rocky" theme playing as Randy gets back up and him telling Batdad that the fight isn't over yet by saying "I didn't hear no bell," the song "You're the Best" which was originally intended for one of the "Rocky" movies but was used in "The Karate Kid" instead.

Dad fights at my hockey games as a kid were memorable af 😆 After I had a fight and got kicked out of the game my dad and I walked by the other kid and his dad and our dads told each other off in front of us. The late 80s and early 90s was quite the time kids.

A fun fact is that the reason Baseball is considered "America's Favorite Pass time" is the sheer number of games played per year (making it the most watched sport). While other sports usually have an off season for their teams to recover and train Baseball plays year round, cycling through a massive roster of players.

That was the last time anybody ever saw Randy "Merica' Marsh. Some say he died in prison. Others say he retired. As for me, I like to think he's still out there, training, getting stronger, in case Stan ever plays little league again, and his strength is needed once more.

Hell yea my favourite episode! Randy is at his absolute peak here and so is everything else; Classic South Park Humour dialled up to 11. Also if you wanna see more of Kyle's cousin, the kid who joined the team at the end, then watch the episode "The Entity". Also a shame you didn't notice that the Kid with orange-blond hair sitting beside Kyle at Whistlin Willies was Kenny; one of the rare times we see him without his parka.
