As everyone else is saying, these clips lose a lot of the humor without the context of the episode. They just seem like random, bizarre clips. But the episodes are so cleverly written, all of these clips are hilarious in context.

"It's a Jersey thing" is real. Not that everyone here is like those ding dongs from the Jersey Shore, but we have our own culture here and when we leave the state we stand out. For instance, a cab driver in Vegas told my buddy that he can identify people from NJ by how much we curse.

Forgot to subscribe...remembered to subscribe... As others have stated below, this show is hard to appreciate without context. Try some of the multi-part episodes like "Imagination-land' or "Go God Go"... They might help give you a better overall feel for the series...thanks for the reaction...

@@TheCrazyCanuck420 Many people do reactions to full episodes. I actively follow 4 of them (2 sequentially, 2 by suggestion... I prefer the sequential viewers by far, *except* for Dash Reacts. He lives in Japan and knows the language and writing, and adds tons of LOL context to things we already laugh at - knowing one of the SP creators actually knows Japanese, their additions are not 'random' like I used to believe)... Though there are 400+ episodes by now, so it's hard to 'catch up' and still edit for RU-vid. *edit* I am on your side opposing compilation video reactions. This show is too good for compilations. It's not a stupid McFarland re-release

You have to watch entire episodes to get the brilliance of the writing. I like the clips because I've seen every episode. I was a sophomore in college when it debuted, and it was a smash hit. I have to say, it really hasn't lost a step after all these years. There have been brief stagnant moments, followed by redemption time and time again. Matt and Trey are my generation's Mark Twain.

Idc if I sound like a rick and morty fan, South Park is genuinely high brow entertainment with actual intelligent jokes, storylines, characters and bits. And i find it rare when a show is just as good if not better in south parks case than it’s first few seasons. When I rewatch South Park I’ll skip over season 1-4 mostly but by season 7 I feel that’s when South Park enters prime content territory

Every time I watch people react to South Park that clearly haven’t watched the show it’s frustrating because so much of the cuts rely on context. It’s such a great show but if someone asked where they should start watching I wouldn’t know what to suggest because the first few seasons are nothing like what the show has become over the last 25 years. There’s some gems in the early seasons but a ton of it really hasnt aged well. You have to see the character arcs of Cartman, Randy and Mr Garrison as those characters changed the most. When the show started, the story lines changed weekly, episodes did not run together there was zero continuity. Now an entire season is written with a single storyline.

They had written a series of episodes already, expecting Hilary to win the election in 2016. She didn’t (we all know how that went) So they had to re-write the entire season ready for their usual ‘on it’ schedule with current events, basically working 14-16 hour days…. with a character as ridiculous and unhinged as Trump. My Garrison was the only choice…
