@@roaringdream spoilers for season 23 ( I think it's that one): Randy has strangled winnie the poah (sorry if i'm mispelling his iconic name my english is bad)
I don't think I'd ever seen or heard that anywhere before seeing it in that scene. Of course "nag" and "nagging" had come up before, but never "nagger".
There's a black dude at work, I call him a nagger whenever he's bitching about something. It's hilarious, especially when a new guy is there and doesn't know the context.
Thing is, while I’ve always like known it’s a word even if not consciously, it had never been brought to my conscious attention until that episode. Never heard it used, never seen it used, never actually thought about it. Then the greatest offensive build up scene happened and I can’t unsee it
I think that the funniest thing about the "People who annoy you" bit, is that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY thinks of "naggers". Everybody thinks of the no-no word XD
The thing is the Wheel of Fortune episode where Randy says what he says honestly tackles the handling of that word and other words similar in a very good way. I have to hand it to Matt and Trey for how they handled that
If you've ever seen the movie Das Boot, it shows an excited, happy-go-lucky German submarine crew during WW2, eager to fight for the Fatherland. It does a great job illustrating how the war crushed their souls, morale, and humanity, leaving those that survived to the end empty, broken shells of their former selves. Watching this reaction reminded me of that... dude was slowly dying inside minute by minute.
The "naggers" scenario literally happened in a french show recently. Someone had the cue "Animal living among us" and they said "foreigner". I would say you can't make it up but in this case SP made it up 😭
Xenophobia isn’t a bad thing if it sustains a community and keeps it from being taken by nefarious interests who want to pillage, plunder, and coopt/pervert the culture.
@Soyel On a macro scale, Japan as a nation is fairly xenophobic as it comes to regarding foreigners (they’re not seen as true Japanese even if they’re citizens), they see the value in putting Japanese peoples interests first, and they’re one of the more productive and beautiful cultures on earth, despite the problems that come with a country of that large of population. American college kids, and Id pol brain rot libs would flip their shit if America operated as Japan does regarding foreigners, and making it extremely difficult to emigrate if you’re not anglo/Caucasian, like Japan does if you’re not ethnic Japanese. The soy flow and cultural marxist indoctrination in USA has created by far more problems than it’s solved
Why do you think, even with all the tolerance preaching and identity politics and pushing of multiculturalism in America do neighborhoods in cities stay mostly segregated. African American people want to live among African American ppl because of the shared experience, same with Asian American, same with Mexican/Hispanic American, same with Somali-American, and Indian-American. These people majority live among themselves, just like how white ppl usually live amongst themselves as a majority. This is all just natural. The only people who think it’s irrational are the super rich who think they are a different evolution of humanity anyway and that systems and laws and cultures don’t apply to them. That is the unnatural thing
GEORGE CARLIN reactions to suicide guy or flying on the airlines is something that will get you a lot of views because people love George Carlin and immediately click
There's a girl on RU-vid who has tourettes and explained it like, think of the worst possible thing you could say in a situation, then your brain keeps telling you to say it over and over until you finally have to say it.
Same here. South Park was sort of marketed as an 'edgier' Simpsons. That, and the unusual style of the animation, piqued my interest as a kid. Saw the pilot episode and fell in love with it immediately.
Favorite SP Episode is “The F Word.” The scene in court is hilarious, especially hearing Kenny mumble “Jesus ****ing Christ!” I die every time I watch that.
it might be a bit too long, but they did a documentary called 6 days to air, its really fascinating watching them craft a whole episode. super hilarious.
🤣👍 The exoplasam one goes on to the internet being broken completely and there is just a person drawing stick figures of what he says... it's freaking hilarious. Luckily Stan finally unplugs 'THE Router' and plugs it back in and saves the world from no internet.
The porn one where you needed context: It's the episode where the internet goes off in the whole country and they make refugee camps where there's connection, but everyone gets like 2 minutes a day
In the words of Dave Attell (another comedian you should check out) "Some people say drinking and drive is wrong - and I call those people 'the cops'. But sometimes you got no choice, those kids have got to get to school."
I've never laughed so much watching a react video. The reactions are so genuine and priceless. And not the bullshit that is out there. With people pretending they haven't seen Star Wars or The Matrix and """Reacting""" to it.
The context for the internet episode is the internet stopped working for nearly everyone. FEMA camps were set up around where it still worked, but the internet was rationed so everyone could get a turn.
You have an awesome smile! I laughed and enjoyed the reaction to the ridiculousness that is "South Park". Never gets old tbh. I thought I'd grow out of it but I still, love it at 29.
It's hard to cut South Park into bite size segments because some shows take the entire show to give one punch line at the end. So a lot of context is lost. Randy is the OG of South Park too.
The "Naggers" clip is one of my most favorite. My dad was the first one to introduce me to that episode and even questioned me about it: "Name a type of person who annoys you with the letters N, G, G, E, R, and S." I, OF COURSE, responded just like Randy! He burst into laughter and explained to me that it was the latest South Park episode. I said it was unfair because of COURSE people would respond with the hard R word. He said he felt bad because it was messed up but it was not only clever but expertly crafted. Bonus: We are both black.
I just love the fact that they go out of their way to point out that it is an Emmy award winning series while Randy is taking a massive dump on the toilet.
The HIV one reminds me of Joe Biden telling Elton John that he was the reason why billions of tax payers dollars was going out on research for HIV LMFAO
Don't think the Wheel of Fortune episode is the best episode but that "naggers" scene is brilliant. Definitely one of the best. Also, can anyone explain the weird water effect on the playback window? I don't get it.
alright for context on randy sneaking into the computer room: they traveled to california after the entire country went offline, also this is far from thee worst from south park, just watch the episode scott tennarman must die lol
True Story: I was stationed in S. Korea 2005ish. Pretty fun posting most of the time. On our off-time we drank too much and watched a lot of movies. A bunch of us were in a friends barracks room taking part in said activities. Just then, a roommate showed up with a new Soldier who'd just signed in to the Battery. The new Soldier was African American, in S. Korea we all hung out with all sorts of people. It was just Soldiers hanging out together. -We had been watching "Falling Down", the N-bomb was dropped (in the middle of a homophobic slur) from a surround sound system just as soon as they walked in. -The roommate introduced the new Soldier to the room, we were cordial; offered a seat, and a beer, and maybe even a snack. -The tension in the room was thick. Someone finally broke the ice with a joke, it was all good after that. But damn, I try to imagine being in another man's shoes. I know I can't get all the way there; I witnessed a super foul string of ignorant racist and homophobic b.s. in a predominantly white room. Just one event, no history of other events. A singular moment in a Man's life. I can understand the discomfort of sticking out in a group, but it has been rare for me. I've felt the fear of imminent death when I was 7 years old, I am managing my PTSD currently. That was one time... I can't imagine what it would be like if the presence of law enforcement set off my PTSD. I've gotten passes over the years, a lot of times from law enforcement. I was out in Las Vegas to see the Roger Waters show this past weekend (It was amazing BTW). I haven't been out much since the pandemic, a few business trips. I definitely do not "party" like I used to, I don't much drink. I'm on meds. I accidentally drank to blackout. I was "lost" in Las Vegas for a few hours without my phone, I missed my flight home. My right hand is bruised and cut-up. I had several run-ins with Security (some on purpose). I'm fairly sure there's video being passed around by security officers of me losing my sh*t in an elevator. I'm home, my cellphone is being shipped to me. I wonder what my fate would have been had I not looked a little like a Rock & Roll Santa?
