My parents got me this game knowing damn well what South Park is about, because they were huge fans of it. They raised me well tho, and the game was just a game, I had a lot of fun with it and no issues... but then my mother recently told me that they just thought I couldn't understand what they were watching or what I was playing. I had the N64 version
My dad banned me from playing this game because he said the swearing in it was "poisoning my mind". This is the same person who took me to the South Park movie in theatres which featured the song "uncle fucka" and a giant talking clitoris, and watched the entire movie with me to boot, not to mention letting me watch the South Park TV show since I was in 3rd grade. that was just plain stupid.

I like how South Park ripped on Aklaim (LJN) even though they were the core creator of the game. That could never happen now considering how serious people take video games now. 0:26
This game came out in 1998. Timmy was introduced in 2000 and Jimmy was introduced in 2001. Also, Butters wasn't really big enough of a character to be considered into the games at the time I guess. Still doesn't explain why Timmy wasn't in South Park Rally though.
Acclaim filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. And Iguana Entertainment is dissolved (dissolution) is why the servers are down. Not to be confused with Team17’s Iguana Entertainment.
Thanks for the info:) I guess I got the release dates of the Playstation mixed with the PS2. It was pretty stupid of me to comment on that since if was made when Timmy was created Timmy would've been all over the ad like he was on the show. Again thanks:)
Yeah, what with the N64 having to cut down the draw distance considerably, axe all the full motion video, and reduce the voice samples to shit. Wait.... Then again, it's not like either version was good.
@oopsldidasuper The reason why a lot of people call it the PSX is that it's original codename was PlayStation X. The PlayStation was supposed to be a CD-ROM add-on for the SNES, but Nintendo didn't trust Sony and went to Philips. The PlayStation then became the PlayStation X and then it just ended up being called PlayStation again but by that time everyone was used to calling it PSX.
i remeber waking up on christmas 1998 to find this game under the tree along with a brand new ps one. when i connected everything i was so happy to play it because my friends told me how fun the nintendo 64 version was. when i started playing i hated it. the graphics were terrible and the sound was awful, along with the controls. i didnt tell my mom that i hated it because it took me three months to convince her to buy it.
I have missed the old south park now since it has been one of my childhood moments and now south park will never the same again. And I really don't think the N64 version was that bad.
I like seasons 1-4 of South Park. Sure, there were a lot of bad episodes (Looking at you, Jakovasaurs.) but it was harmless fun. Plus, seasons past 1-4 have bad episodes too (Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina, anyone?).
@Samir Adams yeah that one was pretty bad. They also made all the other crappy 90s southpark games and several crappy superhero games like batman forever and batman and Robin. Now that's not to say they only made bad tie in games they also published the turok games the home ports of mortal kombat as well as many other great games. It's just when it came to tie in games they usually were pretty bad.
The N64 version was what I played, and it was kind of fun. I played the PS1 version later on and it made me want to throw up! HORRIBLE GRAPHICS AND CONTROL!!
