@@Tolye It's in everyone's top-10 list for a reason. It's both the perfect introduction to the series, and an example of just how great it can be. Make no mistake though, there are many episodes that are almost or just as good. It's the legacy of this episode and what follows the really cements its greatness.
@@kevinb5417 I think I heard in some interview of theirs that somewhere in that period they've decided to put more effort into writing one story per episode instead of creating 2-3 parallel plots which eventually merge at the end.

@@gerryteiglandeide9902 I knew about the coins but I didn't think the goverment would allow for banknotes. If I remember correctly a guy was recently arrested for posting a meme that you could vote by text in 2016, isn't that similar (breaking a law in the name of free speach).
Lmfao. You how many damn times I’ve seen those “where’s George been?” On 1’s? The government doesn’t give a shit about “defacing” small bills. It was kind of cool though, if you went to the website it showed you everywhere that dollar had been (within reason) since it was created.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 It is illegal, according to 18 U.S.C. § 333. "Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both." The thing you will need to prove in court, is that the intent was to make the currency unusable, and not in protest. Which is clearly what happens in this case.
The build up at the end is done with such a perfect touch that it's still considered one of the best episodes of the whole series - and for a whole episode look, it's not got "that" many gut busting jokes. But that "What? You mean about how you put pubes in your chilli?" and to then just gradually reveal the whole thing, allowing you to remember the tidbit Jimbo gave mid-way through. Perfection in every sense.
I've worked jobs in the medical industry so I know Cartman is the 100% PUREST psychopath in cartoon history. I've never seen a character so utterly bereft of a conscience or even the smallest act of honest kindness. This country has had serial killers who are LESS detestable than Eric Cartmen. What a loathsome creature he is.
You should definitely watch board girls season 23 ep 7. For context first watch: season 19 ep 1 “stunning and brave”, And season 21 ep 9 “super hard PCness” All under appreciated episodes
I agree Ive watched multiple reaction channels for South Park and his is the best, he doesn't try to make everything that happens logical and tries to take it to serious like some do. Only complaint I have is like in this one it was paused literally every min at least. I know there's gonna be some pauses but this one was every thirty seconds it seemed like lol. But that's the only complaint.
@@dv8044 another mistake they made was referring to Scott as a 9th grader at the beginning and during the meeting in the basement he was referred to as an 8th grader
you've convinced me to subscribe and like your content. i hope you enjoy how american life plays out- its all a parody but so much of it is more realistic than you know.
It's just so bewildering to realize how much even above world class at story telling Matt and Trey are. It's just so hard to even understand because that means that they would've been at the top of the top in any kind of story telling, no matter what sort of stories they would've chosen to create. These guys are just one in a generation level talent and they just chose to make funniest cartoons there have ever been and to love what they do. I just wish that some day for some reason I get a chance to shake these guys' hands and to tell them how much I appreciate the art that they have created to the world which will never be forgotten unless we go back in technology and all their work will be destroyed or lost forever.
I don't know if anyone caught this but at the beginning of the the episode when Cartman is showing off the pubes they refer to Scott as "the 9th grader" but when they are all meeting in Cartman's basement he is referred to as "the 8th grader" just a tiny mistake they made
this may be the most ICONIC episode of south park but its not the best- my personal favorite is 'BUTTER'S BOTTOM BITCH' even though its not the best one either.
Stan and kyle learned from there NOT to mess with cartman cause he may act like a raving dummy with no redeeming qualities....but damn can he wait a lomg time and take his revenge. They may still hate him but they know not to get in his way out of fear
Spoiler alert for 200 and 201: The whole thing about Liane being a hermaphrodite was a lie to cover up the fact that Scott's dad is also Cartman's dad. Even funnier is that Cartman is more devastated that he's part ginger than the fact that he killed his own father to get back at his half-brother.
you should react to South Park Eric Cartman's Real Father S14 E5 & 6 its final episode to this its 2 episodes special also called episode 200 & 201 2 parts episodes.
Keep up the good work man! I would suggest looking into s18 e8 “c*ck magic” great episode, as well as s23 ep 7, “board girls”, both great episodes that don’t get enough love
Ok i really like this reaction channel, i really do and i get its a reaction channel so its gonna be paused a couole times thru, BUT why did it have to be paused at least one time every damn min!!!??? Somtimes even more than once every min. I mean my god come on!
If you want an episode that brilliantly makes you get in the feels AND make you laugh geninuely, I highly recommend "Kenny Dies" from season 5. Probably my #1 favorite!
Everyone: THAT'S SO DARK! Me: Bruh, if Scott just gave the money back, none of this would have happened. He had no idea what he was up against, and he foolishly escalated things
There's another episode several seasons later featuring Scott Tennerman wher he gets the ultimate revenge on Cartman revealing that he is his half brother and he killed his actual mom.
