It’s always been so funny to me that Kenny’s appearance without his hoodie in this episode is so random and never played up as some big reveal
@Komix777
@Komix777 Год назад
We've already seen his face in the movie.
@vivimos_en_una_sociedad7758
He shows up a bunch of times unhooded. He even showed up unhooded this year's season. The thing is supposed to be that he always has something covering his face. Even if he isnt wearing anything you never get to see his "full" face and hair, except for the movie. Tho they have broken this rule in the past for some reason. Mainly the brodway bro down in the episode, when he is seen in a pool, but there his face is half covered by someone else. Or the You're getting old episode, where you can just fully see him sittin in a table with his hood down. Nothing covers him up then, the only thing he has is a little birthday hat, which i guess counts. The baseball or sarcastaball episodes both cover just his hair with a hat and the rest of his unhooded appearances always have some sort of mask or glasses.

A big part of the joke is that the kids look the same, except for the hair. When they get their heads shaved in the cult episode, they can't even tell who is who. They show Kenny's face in that also.

I remember being about 11 and watching this 3 hour long biopic on VH1 or MTV of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. The way his father beat them and made them work unreasonable hours made me really sad. Interestingly, I watched it just before the famous 60 minutes interview came out. I had so much sympathy for Michael and his brothers and sisters. I was torn between the allegations against him in the 2000s and the abuse he went through growing up. Mom told me to pray for him.

Micheal Jackson really did have a wild transformation. I never really saw a timeline picture like the one you posted int he video, its fascinating to me that it's even possible. As far as my take on the allegations.. I don't know. I hope its not true. I'll always love his music, and he clearly was an extremely troubled individual. If it's true then at least he can't hurt anyone anymore, if it isn't true then he is at peace. It's interesting to me that people see Cartman as the embodiment of evil, because the creator's of the show said so. He's not. He's the embodiment of the average person watching the show. Same way Kyle is morality, Stan is the common man, Randy is the comic's comic, and Kenny is that one cool friend from our childhood who lived in a trailer and had crazy parents - and that's why he seems so relatable. But Cartman is a mirror. I don't think most people realize that.

It always breaks my heart seeing how handsome he was in that first pic at 11:38 it’s a tricky thing bc I want to say he looks happier there then the later pictures but obviously since he chose to change every single aspect of him in the first picture, he clearly wasn’t happy with how he looked. But he looked great, I mean he looks like a totally normal handsome guy you’d see on like an ambercrombie & fitch ad. What’s weird and sort of counter intuitive is he seemed to hate the level of fame he got to which anyone would, that’s an unprecedented level of fame no human brain is wired to deal with. There’s really no feasible way to do it, so few celebrities at that level are well adjusted. But if he had never gotten plastic surgery and stayed how he looked in the first picture, not only would he maybe still be alive idk bout that, but at the very least he would’ve had an easier time walking around the world and not getting instantly recognized. He’d still get recognized of course I think a lot of people over a certain age would know that’s MJ even back then bc he’s just that famous, but obviously he wouldn’t stick out in a crowd the way he did when he looked how he did in the fourth picture. Even if he had stopped at the second one where he seemed to fix his nose but hadn’t done as much skin damage, the third one he starts getting a bit androgynous for better or worse maybe he wanted that idk. But when I was a kid like 6 or 7, the first Michael Jackson video I saw was Bad which is the album cover used for that third picture of him in his 30s. I saw the music video a bunch bc my dad had it on his computer or something so we’d watch it over and over and I don’t remember exactly how long it took me to realize it wasn’t a girl, but I know at LEAST the first handful of times I watched it I thought it was a girl. I was too young to actually know famous people maybe I’d heard the name Michael Jackson but I didn’t put together it was the same person, I just heard the voice and saw that video and thought it was a girl. I didn’t even go “huh is that a girl or a guy” I didn’t think anything of it I just went “oh that girl has good moves and a good voice” and moved on. Then later I was in the car and I remember my dad laughing at me for thinking he was a girl lmaoo

I think the best take on MJ is that he was an immensely talented musical prodigy who's influence cannot be overstated. But regardless of whether the accusations he faced are true or not he was definitely deeply troubled who did some inappropriate things. His whole life was pretty much an endless rollercoaster of illnessess and pain, both mental and physical. He spent his whole life in the spotlight, was abused as a child, suffered from diseases like vitiligo and lupus and got addicted to painkillers and surgery after suffering horrific fourth degree burns. His low self-esteem caused him to never dare to explain his troubles which resulted in the media portraying him as an eccentric weirdo, which only fueled his insecurities. He also suffered from eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia and it's also worth noting that he was raised as a Jehova's Witness, which most certainly warped his sense of self and his sense of morality. His close friend Elizabeth Taylor once surprised him with his first christmas (he could never experience it due to his religious upbringing) and while he was grateful he reportedly went to the bathroom to cry, feeling like he both didn't deserve it and that he was betraying his beliefs. He eventually had his doctor give him strong anesthetics every night to help him sleep due to his immense backpain (essentially knocking him out, so he went like two months without any real sleep) which eventually killed him. Honestly I can't help but feel bad for the guy. Considering what he went trough it's a small miracle he didn't turn out much, much worse than he did.

no matter what the truth of the legal cases were, he undoubtedly had a tragic life. one of the most recognizable musicians to ever walk this earth and I'd argue he had a very unlucky hand dealt for most, if not all his life

You just witnessed one of the only times in the show you hear Kenny's voice unmuffled and uncensored. He say's "WTF" in a coon episode, and in the movie he has an unmasked line, but other than that this is the only other time you hear him completely normal. All the other he's using a voice changer, muffled, or something interferes with hearing it completely.

I think Michael Jackson was definitely a victim of being a star child. So many times we see that fame and turning a kid into a super star and never get to have a proper childhood, it clearly shows that he wanted to have that sense of childlike wonder for as long as he could, though he definitely had some serious mental instabilities, but I think the poor guy just needed an army of therapists and some loved ones to spend time with to hopefully make a recovery. Its so often that people forget that celebrities are people too, sure, they are often out of touch, terrible or crazy, which makes it easy to hate em, but most of them can change with enough time and care, though my sympathies pretty much end at those corrupt individuals who deeply misuse their power.

Yes, he was messed up from being a child star and deserved sympathy for it , AND he was a pedophile who preyed on boys. When they became over certain age he discarded them , and onto new fresh meat. Even if you continue to disbelieve the actual molestation, what he did emotionally to the children (being the center of their lives, and then discarding them) was majorly, MAJORLY FUKED UP.
@theaces3697
@theaces3697 Год назад
he might of been a victim but i dont think that excuses the stuff he did he still needs to be held accountable, you dont let normal pedos get off with sympathy when they have had a messed up childhood so neither should a celeb

Here's a story about MJ from my primary school: I'm from eastern Europe, we had a replacement teacher who was old. The theme of the class was athletic excellence, so she asked us to name a famous athlete we like. I named Michael Jordan. Her response was "no, he's a singer".

I was doing a study abroad in London when Michael Jackson died. People were laying flowers in Trafalgar Square after his death was announced. It was a crazy amount of flowers and other types of items that people left there, not to mention the people just hanging out down there crying and singing his songs. It was kind of weird to me the way people were reacting to his death. You just don't see people doing that very often. It goes to show just how big Michael Jackson was that a lot of people would react that way to his death and to do so despite all the horrible rumors that circulated about him.

A great book on Michael Jackson is Remember the Time. It’s testimony from Michael’s last bodyguards from after the trial up until he died. The stories really showed how much Michael cared for his kids but also the paranoia of his celebrity lifestyle, how mismanaged his business was, and how the people surrounding him tried to take advantage of him. Another good one was The Michael Jackson Conspiracy. A beat for beat recap of his trial and acquittal by Aphrodite Jones. Great stuff.

Yeah, I think at the very least his relationship with kids was inappropriate and he had deep issues stemming from his childhood - in my honest opinion, he was guilty of the crimes he was accused of too, I could go into my reasoning but I don't want to write a whole essay about allegations detailing some really disgusting behaviour, I'll just say he was a hurt man that hurt more people and convinced himself it was all okay (like a lot of predators do). Nonetheless, he was a phenominal artist, so talented in so many aspects, all around a brilliant mind. A lot of people that worked for him have said that "King of Pop" was a title his PR team came up with, but he's clearly deserving of that title for the influence he had.

Yep, crazy talented, and a bizarro pedophile who preyed on boys. They arent mutually exclusive. Roman Polanski makes good movies, and he also raped a minor. Hitler did some good things, he also ordered so much murder. Its like we shouldnt feel the need to deny that good things can from a person who has done terrible things.

I agree, he may not have done all the things he was accused of but for me there is no doubt he was attracted to young boys. And it may have taken his victims years to realize they had actually been abused because it all happened in such a friendly, playful manner. I don't want to be gross but many 13 year old boys have jacked off next to a pal. Only to realize much later that their good pal from back then had been a middle aged man who set up the whole thing.

My thoughts on Michael Jackson are complicated. We know his father exploited Michael and his brothers from a very young age. The “Jackson 5” was started when Michael was only 6. That is a very young and impressionable age to be around the music industry. If he was psychologically, physically, and mentally abused from that age, then I can understand why he might have become like that himself. It’s often the case that people who were abused as kids will become abusers themselves due to trauma. This does not mean everyone who was abused becomes an abuser themselves but it is often the case. HOWEVER, I am not ignorant, and realize that one who is able to seek help for these issues, should seek help. And Michael was able to financially at least. He had the resources to probably afford a very good psychiatrist who could maybe have helped him even if it means being put in a hospital. So if Michael felt that this was an issue, and had the resources, he should’ve sought psychiatric help. HOWEVER AGAIN I am also not naïve, and I realize that that sort of behavior festers in the music and film industry (eg Dan Snyder, Weinstein). Michael Jackson, being in the industry since he was a child probably just went along with it. Again I am not defending him or anyone else who does this but I can empathize with Michael as to where his life might’ve led him wrong

Love it! Brutal head-on fashion typical of SP taking on touchy/taboo topics. I used to believe without much thought that Michael J was just a perv. But now, knowing what we’ve come to learn about the brutalism he endured from his father and what the entertainment industry subjects people to, my stance has softened a little bit on MJ. I’ve started to lean towards thinking that because he was robbed of a childhood on top of the abuse that he was stuck at an adolescent age of development. I know that towards the end, he started doing some talking about the powers that be in “the industry”. Now I’m not so sure that it’s so cut and dry. I allow for the possibility that the powers that be in the industry may have sought his demise.
