Shenandoah National Park has several waterfall hikes worth doing, our favorite waterfall hike at Shenandoah National Park was South River Falls located about midway on on Skyline drive at mile post 62 ish I believe and South River Falls trail was a challenging National Park hike with over 800 feet of elevation gain on the way back up from South River Falls and this is easily one of the best Virginia Waterfalls.

In West Virginia there’s some beautiful waterfalls in Blackwater falls State Park (very short walk) and a nice campgrounds and just out side of the state park there is Douglas Falls and if you follow the trail down stream there’s many more waterfalls. Love your videos keep up the good work.

@@CampTravelExplore There’s also another waterfall in the Blackwater Falls State Park it’s off of Elakala trail, West side of the lodge, I like that waterfall because you can get up close and personal with it unlike the main waterfall. If you want to do some hiking trails there is Lindy Point and Table Rock both are beautiful. Thanks and enjoyed

Can you recommend a waterfall at Shenandoah with a shorter trail? Because I’ll be taking my 70 year old mother plus I have a bad knee. Thanks!

You should be able to pull it up on alltrails.com as well to check it out. There was a path that we did, but the rock scrambling at the bottom was real. We just didn't have the time to do the longer route, but it would be worth it to see this waterfall from the bottom!

The falls from the bottom are impressive! From the overlook it was hard to tell the scale. Oh, but I like the hikes you go up first then down 🤣

I’m adding this to my list. I’ll make sure we have time to get to the bottom of the waterfall the safer, longer way 😅. But it looks worth it for sure. We hope to go through Virginia and close to this park on our travels north. Thank you. Alice

Yes take the longer way, actually it made for a great story and we saved so much time lol. Did you see me staggering at the end of the video lol, It was totally worth seeing from the bottom!!!

Hi there, I will be hiking this trail this weekend and have a few questions. 1. How many miles for the short trail? 2. How many miles for the long trail? 3. For the safer route to the bottom of the waterfall I did not see any markings so how will I be able to find safer trail to bottom?

Our advice would be to look all that up on alltrails.com, that is the resource we used on this hike and all of our hikes!!
