I'm heartbroken 💔these are my people I'm from South Sudan living in the camp at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya and I never visited my country because of war🤧my mother came in Kenya as a young girl and she got married here we all born here I never expressed the life of being in your own country 😭our leaders should learn from this let's keep peace and harmony 🤲🏾🤍

I don't know if I've ever seen anything as impressive as that woman giving birth with no screams, while standing, not to mention the conditions. That was incredible.

Most of us live a very privileged life, let's be thankful for it and share what we can. To make it better for all.

this is totally heart-breaking. i pray that the world will finally intervene effectively to end the suffering of the people of South Sudan... and bring those power-hungry politicians and generals to justice.

I am crying. my people are suffering every day, there's no peace, it's always struggling and yet our leaders never wanted us to live peacefully.

In the UK we are currently complaining about the cost of living crisis. Sometimes we need reminders of what a real crisis looks like. No one in this video would reject help of any kind and we are currently complaining about absolutely everything; we just cannot get enough. We all need help on how to be content..

Some of the scenes here are extremely disturbing. As a Nigerian, I have seen and experience some awful events. Sudanese are strong people.

This is why nobody should send these countries money. It never makes it to the people. So heartbreaking

As a mother , my heart almost stood still watching the young lady giving birth under such dire conditions without so much as a whimper, and my heart just broke into a thousand pieces for another innocent child born into a savage world, ravaged by never-ending conflicts😭😭. Words fail me at this stage!

My mother was 17 when she gave birth to me during war in jungle of Cambodia,,I have no documented paper of my birth no doctor no hospital, there she lost both her parent's an 6 sister an brother, she walk 200 mile to Thailand carrying Me to refugee camp 6 month walk.we meet my father an other brothers they separated during war ,,at refugee camp there was 13 kids had malaria only 1 survive that was me ,.this was 1970s ,came to America in 1980s an worked Hard an live hard .my Parent divorced but i stayed by my mama an now we have our own business a donut shop for 30 plus year were we work 7 day a week an built our dream . my mom is 70 now an I'm 44 still working for her coming up on 2 years straight without aday off we survived Cambodia an the pandemic.I thank you God an my mother for the life you given me.

It's sad seeing my people suffering from the war , diseases, hunger and inter clan conflicts. I am a South Sudanese , born and raise in a refugee camp in Ethiopia, back to South Sudan to help rebuild the country, displaced by the conflict and still living in fear. I recognized all these people in the documentary. Some have been claimed by the war and diseases and some are still struggling in Akobo, Waat, Walgak and Ethiopian refugee camps. I wonder how long shall we keep living in deplorable condition under the shadow of war.

Please South Sudan come together stop this war. It is very painful to see human being going through this much suffering. What is the importance of power if the people you are trying to rule dying of hunger, deseas and starvation.

I have had some really hard times in my life but never nothing like this. The poverty is unbelievable. They have nothing to eat and nothing to wear. Watching this makes me so grateful for what I have. And if I was rich I would donate to these poor people so they can make a better life for themselves. The woman who had her baby in the middle of nowhere was something I will never forget.....

Thirsty, hungry, scared, depressed and tired of none stop war and robbery, these people are going through absolute worst and saddest part is that there's nothing like a safe place to live, you escape from war to suffer from poverty, this is an abyss

The swamp that showed up at the beginning of this video is called Padoi swamp, I grew up in that area where it’s located. This video showed up to as a recommendation but ended up showing me the very people I know as a child, sooo much emotions there. Though I used to see the hardships I and my people were going through as normal back then, watching this now as an adult far away from home really pictures to me how hard our living conditions were. It is sad some parts of mankind have regressed so much. Death and destruction is all that matters. If you ask any of them,have you all ever built anything? The answer would be what does that mean so sad what a waste of life.

Our people from south Sudan are children of a lesser god. The situation is so bad there, no drugs, no food, and fuel. The Dinka and the Nuer have never been enemies, I am a mix of the two tribes. Our leaders have politicized everything and there is so much hate and anger right now among the tribes. Most people will never understand our suffering as a country until they experience it. indeed South Sudan is a land of broken dreams.

In the Nuer tribe, when a boy or a girl is born on the way, they call him Duop when he is a boy and Nyaduop when she is a girl.

The biggest mistake is the separation from Sudan

The most painful thing is giving birth to a baby in such conditions, on the way to exile not sure what to find on the way my tears are rolling out now for the mother and that baby 💔, moving 40km with new born baby in strange land, no food. For the infant . Can't watch this any longer

Nuer are amazing people. Very strong and humble. The trible government of dinka is making south sudan a hell . All tribe in south sudan are suffering because of them They become the Arab of south sudan.

I'm a living testimony and one of hundreds of thousand of South Sudanese born in a similar manner and under related conditions. Born 30 years ago while my parents were also on a run . At place not far away from where this documentary was filmed. It is obnoxiously heartbreaking seeing myself through that newborn baby 30 years on...

We, in the free and materialistic western world haven't got a clue about hardship, hunger, and poverty, these people are struggling just to survive , just to exist, and the young girl, MYAMER, giving birth in such conditions at the side of the road , without any medical help,we here in the materialistic western world worry about silly things like not having a big enough TV in our homes, or if there's enough room in our cupboards and fridge's for more food and soft drinks etc, we don't know we are living, we have everything and are never happy, these people have nothing but always raise a smile.

May god help the people of South Sudan. I saw South Sudanese refugees at the UNHCR/ARRA complex office in Addis Ababa. Some of them didn’t have shoes. Most of the refugees there were Eritreans, some Yemenis but the South Sudanese were more in need than the rest.

When was this video taken? Whatever is being shown now are events that happened during the civil war in 2016. South Sudan has had relative peace since 2018. Please feed the masses with proper information when broadcasting such. The nation is still fragile and such videos might harm the on going peace process.
