My local council have got a couple of new rotopresses , one is a Hydrogen powered econic . First in the UK apparently, no idea how much it cost . Won't be cheap 😑😑 . The rotopresses have to have high level lifts as there is no hopper .
St.Helans? I think like 200k for a regular rotopress the old trucks were coming to the end of their life anyway so it's not like they were burning all their money to replace new trucks.
@@BinandChill yes . St.Helens . We have a mix of Dennis and Mercedes with Olympus and Variopress bodies and now at least 2 Rotopresses, one is diesel because i saw it on my street , the other is hydrogen.
@@BinandChill it would make sense to have more because of the facilities required to store and decant hydrogen. The issue is that making hydrogen is energy intensive so cancels out any reduction in pollution from the vehicle. The same as all these people with electric cars who think they are saving the world. Deluded .
