Tough one to call. Saints were terrible at Leicester in that 5-0 defeat but Leeds are also hot and cold. Depends on which team turns up on the day. I reckon Saints will edge it.

Leeds fan here. A truly measured and magnanimous contribution from a fully informed Southampton fan. Thanks. Will the Leeds attack ‘turn up’ and be decisive? Or will Southampton’s superior midfield win the day? Exactly. Southampton’s loanees have worked way way better than any Leeds attempts on that front. To think West Ham let Downes go out, and they brought in, er, Kalvin Phillips. He’s realistic too about potential life back in the top flight (although I think promoted clubs won’t be competing with ‘Crystal Palace downwards’, more like hoping one of them can swap places with Everton and stay up. As for Leeds 3 in midfield ‘failing’ against Norwich away as the presenter averred, they didn’t: we didn’t lose was the plan so they played their part

Bullshit that Glen de la Cour is the most depressive Saints fan. I consider him a great analyzer of the game, and I agree on everything he says in this dialogue. 1. Saints have to show up on the big occasion for once, correct. 2. Downes absolutely MUST be fit and play, correct. 3. Che Adams has to play without trampolins on his feet and play as the best striker in the championship, as we know he can, correct. 4. We play 3-5-2 (alternating to 4-3-3) and maybe use our hybrid left back/no.6 tactics with Jack Stephens , and we will get the better of Leeeeeeds again, correct. Up the Saints. Good luck to Leeds in the championship next season. Decent side and I do respect the team. I HATE Leeds' fans though. They SUCK!

Bazunu is out, so Saints get promoted. Its almost infuriating to me the management will get away with making a £100 million mistake in not hiring a competent GK, just because their "nr 1" got injured. Grats anyway.

If the southampton that beat Preston 3-0 turn up, most premier league clubs wouldn't have lived with them that night .It really is so hard to call .Plus, on that big pitch with saints keeping the ball could run leeds into the ground .
