Southampton Level Crossing Misuse video

Noticed network rail van going through level crossing aswell, didn't expect that

I guess the footbridge to one side of the level crossing is purely decorative.

Anybody with a child who jumps lights should be prosecuted because they are putting the child's life in danger.

Treat Level crossing traffic lights as regular traffic lights. You wouldn't want to put your life at risk for just a few measly minutes, would you?

Oh look a footbridge. What are they for again? Eh screw it, lets just run across the crossing while the barriers are closing.

Leave them to it, Darwin will do the rest..

I dont see any misuse, they' re sparring just a long boring wait. Say to Southampton county its time to dig the underpass....real misuse is the council laziness & stinginess

I never saw any trains pass. In the city I use to live in there was a grade crossing that had no arms but was very often being activated signaling that a train was approaching when in fact no train was coming. People began to ignore the signals, occasionally a train indeed was coming so the crossing had many accidents. I used this road often, but always stopped to check for train traffic.

We could have those European style crossings where something comes out of the ground blocking the road so you have to stop and we need cameras at every crossing to film and fine them

For that entire video, I didn't see any train coming. It's no wonder people are rushing through the crossing before the gates fully come down. They're assuming they have plenty of time because the train is way down the tracks.
