Hi everyone!
My name is Lina and I am the writer of a blog documenting my life as a truck driver on Britain's roads (and sometimes elsewhere, too)! I have been at it for 5 years now, but I'm still learning and I'd be pleased for you to join me in this journey.
I am a self employed driver, working for different companies like Stobarts, Greenhaul, Target, Race Drivers INC, Royal Mail, Kammac etc. Trying to keep my job interesting.
I am always tramping (sleeping out in the cab) and going for discovery walks around the area.
My favourite location is Scotland and of course anywhere near the sea or forest.
Life on the road as a female lorry driver.

Interesting vid, shows how a large container complex works, the more so because it was my home town and a job I have done many times myself. Very rewarding when you have jumped through all the hoops and finally you are heading for 'EXIT' and M27 to a bit of driving to get the delivery done.

Good view of the docks, I run out of Southampton, you were lucky it was quiet! It can all get a bit mad when it's busy! Area 1 and 2 have changed in the last few weeks as well!

Glad you cracked the maze that is at all docks it seems, the only freight Dock I have been through was Immingham, about 11 pm. ( I should add, it was in a van) Great work and video. Thanks for sharing.

Good job for getting out to check twistlocks, on occasion they can drop when you go over potholes etc, so always worth checking the locks are where they should be.

I lina hope you are well. Brilliant vlog philip keeps trying to learn a bit. It looks straight forward till you try doing it. Philip passed is theory test this week plus i have passed my hazard perception test as well. Plus medical. So I think I am ready for my practical part now. At sherborne I will keep you updated on my progress take care lina phil.

I had been to the southampton port by ship (in denmark we had another company make "EAC" as my dad and my granddad was sailing in (the first owner was also from Nakskov name H.N. Andersen)), also I also "has" the driver's license as you, just it's all down for over 25 years ago, when I'm got a blood clot in my brain that making the half of me paralyze (and 3 more in the 25 years)... show must go on...

The roads around the dock with low speed limits and cameras everywhere reminds me of Algeciras in southern Spain. That is where we catch the ferry to Morocco. In my case, not with a container lorry, just a motorbike (or sometimes a car). Not been there since 2019 because of Covid. Hopefully will make it again in the not too distant future.

This is the first video I've watched of yours and it is very interesting. Please don't take this as a criticism, but rather as a helpful suggestion. Your audio is often very weak and I have trouble hearing what you're saying, which is a shame because I'm missing learning something. I wonder if the GoPro has an external mic input which would help to improve audio clarity.

So Lina, it says you posted this video 8 hours ago, so does that mean you're back at work again, because I did see that adorable cute smile of your's!...🤔🤗💖👍⚘ Also I was wondering, and you probably mentioned it once, or twice before, but that one Lorry that you're driving, is it a standard transmission, or an automatic?...🤔 The reason I asked is that that one you're driving seems so smooth to drive, and it seems quick!. Just wondering!...😊👍
