SYF is in line with the #WorldFoodDay celebration to gather youth voices for a food-secure future. It highlights the importance of and opportunities for youth engagement in promoting sustainable food systems.
The two-part event begins with a virtual Regional Youth Forum to be graced by keynote addresses from Dr. Chew Fook Tim, Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and SEARCA Governing Board Country Representative of Singapore, and Dr. Khin Mar Cho, International Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Specialist at Cornell University. The forum is followed by a Food Exhibition with onsite youth guests participating in lectures, demos, cooking challenge, and booths where SEARCA scholars showcase their local snacks.
