📍RACEWEEK LOCATION CHANGE📍 This week’s SEGA Championship event has been officially moved less than 60 miles west to Wilkesboro Dragway in Wilkesboro, NC. Unfortunately, Farmington Dragway was forced to cancel our event due to unforeseen circumstances in repaving a portion of their track. ‼WE NEED PROMOTIONAL HELP FAST‼ We have certainly had many requests over the years to hold an event at Wilkesboro Dragway, and we see this as a prime opportunity to show the fans in Wilkes County what true 1960’s heads-up, 4-speed, championship drag racing is all about! Once known as the “Moonshine Capital of the World” and home of NASCAR’s first race in 1947… Wilkes County seems the perfect fit for a “Return to 1967” at Wilkesboro Dragway this weekend!!! PLEASE SHARE!!! All details remain exactly the same as before, so there is no confusion about times or admission change. This event is also proudly sponsored by our friends at Landmark Builders in Charlotte, NC. Check em out at landmarkbuilders.com 👈🏼👈🏼
Yeah I like this version of the recaps better than the past versions. I dont need commentary i want to hear tge cars rev to the moon on the start line.
A friend and I way back Built a 53/54 Chevy Highboy like the Revel Model named as such same color and mostly all with a 454ci 871 blown with twin Holly 450 Double pumpers and a ton of boost. He could turn mid to upper 9's all day as long as we had no issues. THAT was 25+ yrs ago and seeing this makes me miss those days SO MUCH.
Some of the other details are unclear to my 62 yr old ADD brain cept the 2 speed power glide he thinking about going with a 3 or 4 speed. maybe would have done faster times with either one
I love everything about this video! The look, the format, the timing, etc. The only thing that would make it better, is finding an extra camera operator to be at the finish line. Awesome job!
THIS IS SOME SUPERB FILMING PLUS QUALITY RACING! I REALLY LIKE THE CLOSE UP AT THE FINISH LINE AS THEY PASS BY! GIVES YOU A BIRDS EYE VIEW OF THEM CROSSING THE FINISH LINE! THANKS FOR SOME SUPER GOOD EDITING!!
@@jerrypuckett6733 I agree, but the camera coverage was much better than before. Could use more coverage from the starting line and like you said, zoom in on the cars at the starting line from half track.
I wish you guys would create a gasser class for automatic transmissions then I could race in my 41, I’m a disabled veteran and especially my left leg doesn’t work so well
I don’t understand why people filming drag racing don’t use ZOOM on their cameras. It makes no sense. I’ve been filming cars for 35 years. Always trying to make the best videos.
The camera I use is more of a cinema style camera where you got to twist the lens. And doing that while the camera is on a gimbal doesn’t work well without a focus/zoom motor attached to the gimbal. I do have a new gimbal coming that has the zoom motor so I will be able to zoom as much as the lens is able to.
Stay tuned for a possible video on the story behind The Joker at Shadyside. But his car broke during practice Thursday night before the race but another driver allowed him to use their car
Just a thought from the 'bleachers'. I can remember when there were driver interviews. If that could be added I believe it would help with fan base. I think the new drivers would appreciate it a lot. I do like the editor putting the driver names up on the film as they are racing. IMO SEGA is better than street outlaws.
