Dominic Walker Thanks very much. Unfortunately we are almost certainly heading down to non-league for Christ knows how long. So our paths may not cross again for a while....

As a southend fan I remember going to play cov when they were in St Andrews and thinking about how lucky we were to have a stable club at the time, that defeat set the tone for the next 2 and a half years.
@@joshuabetts2677 wow. Yeah I went to Southend away. Was the last cov game I could go to before the Covid break. So sad what’s happend crazy that we’re fighting for premier league football now in the championship and your playing non league football. Hope your club gets back up mate have a real soft spot for Southend as my mum is from Southend and she supported them all her childhood. 💙🤝💙
I was there. What a day! What a game! Roots hall was rocking as it always is.It’s a shame we weren’t able to hang on to a few of our star players after going down the following season e.g, Charlie Kelman. However it is nice to see players coming through as local lads and going on to do great things like Bentley, Leonard, Jack Payne and Kelman is sure to do. It is apparent to me that fans are a massive thing for the club as shown by our recent run of form.I really hope we can stay up and get our finances back on track.Up the shrimpers!🔵⚪️🔵⚪️
I was also there that day, saw Simon Cox in The Last Post in town afterwards, tried getting him a pint but I think he was already in a rush with his mates haha, pivotal moment in Southend’s history though. Up the blues!
@@ESSEXSou what was he like I always thought he looked a bit stuck up. Sometimes I didn’t feel like he wanted to play for the club but you can’t deny he was a great finisher. It was great to watch him play upfront probably the best striker we’ve had in years except players like Piggot and Barry Corr I hope that Simeon Akinola can turn into a goal scorer for us this season.Seasiders!!
