During TVRM's 60th Anniversary in 2021, Southern Railway 4501 and 630 were hauling two trains of the Missionary Ridge Local to celebrate the occasion. While 4501 had some good attention from railfanning from me during the event, 630 also got some attention as well. Enjoy 630, pulling its train between Grand Junction and East Chattanooga. What made this trip interesting was that, after some calculations, 630 has been with TVRM for 43 years after it was pulled from mainline excursion use in 1978. It wasn't until 1999 that TVRM took full ownership of 630 from Norfolk Southern. While I might not have gotten as many videos of 630 as 4501, 630 still put on a great show pulling its local.
As a little note that the thumbnail photo was not taken during TVRM's 60th Anniversary; it was taken during TVRM's 2021 Railcamp. I would've used a picture of 630 for this video's thumbnail if I had took some photos from the time this footage was filmed, but I didn't. So I used the current one instead.
