The crash site was cleared, both S class locos were destroyed but none of the train is buried at the crash site. The Southern Aurora utilised Trans Australian carriages until replacement cars could be built or repaired. The car at Violet Town station stands sentinel to those who died and endured the aftermath of the crash
@@bridgewater112 I'm not surprised if not buried. I did see some silver carriages at Cowra NSW at a museum there. I believe parts of the train are restored elsewhere.
