ABOUT SOUTHERN CHARM:
This season on "Southern Charm," relationships old and new are tested as the women are turning the good old boys club on its head. With years of friction seemingly behind them, Kathryn and Thomas reached a custody agreement and have officially moved forward. Kathryn, now an independent woman, is marking her territory in Charleston and has high hopes of growing closer with the ladies of the group. Meanwhile, Thomas has found a new love interest, Ashley, who has relocated to the city and is shaking up the newly solid ground he and Kathryn have finally found. After years of fighting motherhood, Cameran welcomes her first child, Palmer, to the world. However, despite focusing on raising her daughter, Cameran still finds herself doling advice to the childish members of the crew. Meanwhile, Shep is fresh off his search for love that didn't go as planned and wonders if he is cut out for a life of romance. After a contentious breakup, Craig and Naomie struggle to remain friends, realizing quickly how hard it is to move on in a small town where everyone knows your business. Despite this, Craig is determined to pinpoint what went wrong, and launch a sewing empire, so he enlists a life coach to help keep him in balance. After a recent break up, Chelsea and Austen try to maintain a friendship, even though Austen has moved on with her close friend. Is this Charleston group strong enough to weather the ever-changing dynamics, or will they crumble under the pressure?

They (including Andy) are being so mean and unfair to Craig! He has clearly suffered from depression, and is an artist at heart, and no-one else gets that! Depression will sabotage every little thing you try to accomplish, and he doesn't know how to express that that's what's going on, and he is being mocked and laughed at so much that he just says these things that sound random and lime an excuse to the others. He knows how much he is going to be judged and then it becomes a self - fulfilling prophesy. You don't see Kathryn judging him because she understands depression. Plus, if you are a very artistic person, most people who are not will never completely "get you" and they think you are weird. Many artistic people don't do well with deadlines. My gosh, how do I get a message to Andy C. and let him know how badly he is bashing Craig?!!

I kind of feel bad for Ashley, "kind of." She looks so unhappy....trying to make a bad thing work just to feel likes she's won? And look at what she's winning...a horrible man whom we've all seen lose it on camera, imagine what he's like when the cameras aren't around. Time to call it day girl and get your own life together. Kate ~ Really? I thought it's because he said he doesn't stay out late like he used to and drinks less too. I thought he looked and sounded much better this whole season from the beginning. AND, I think he is really crushing on Kathryn again, and may be thinking about her and her kids in his future. I think if he is trying to clean up his act... for her, he'd have to be responsible and always keep in mind her sobriety.

cynthia hamilton You just don't get it. Craig is and has been depressed. These aren't excuses. He may also have ADHD. If you have never suffered that kind of depression, then you could never understand and have absolutely no right to judge him or others. I'm sure you have things about you that you wouldn't want people to know...something you are ashamed of. But with depression, you can't hide it...it's like a cancer that intervenes in every part of your life.

Good point! But I still feel he’s the harshest on Craig. Plenty of rich kids build a name for themselves despite their family’s money. I just think that Craig’s an easy target to be a punching bag. Shep says absolutely nothing about the way others in the cast have conducted themselves. He even came out in defense of Ashley on SM when she first flipped.out on Katherine. Never stands in judgement of Thomas, but is constantly coming down on Craig. That’s the part I don’t understand, thats all I’m saying. But again, you make an excellent point about the trust fund/family money situation.
