There’s this underrated corner of RU-vid where middle aged men absolutely control their instruments and yet hardly get any attention. There’s a Dutch Lapsteel artist that is in a similar situation.
This gives me so much mid 2000s vibes when RU-vid was about sharing talent and enjoyable, educating contents. Since the social media era, everything is fckd. Thank you great sir for sharing this piece.
I'm sure you didn't mean to make anyone cry with this cover, but here I am. My dad loved this song and played it all the time, just like you do. He was actually diagnosed with dementia on the same day that Glen Campbell passed away. He was incredibly emotional hearing the new of Glen's passing on the way home from being diagnosed. He passed away in 2022 and I never thought I would hear anyone play this song like he did. He did the thing like you're doing where you pick and pluck so it sounds like two guitars, sorry that I don't know what that technique is called, I decided to play the drums and piano instead of following in my dad's footsteps and play guitar. Looking back, I wish I had gotten more videos of him playing different songs and that I wished I had him teach me guitar. But anyway, thank you for making me cry and think about happy memories of my dad. I will have to check out your channel and watch more!
Gosh, what a genuinely beautiful piece of music. I thank God that people with your amount of earned skill and dedication exist. Thank you for sharing your art with us!
@@Thewildmanrules I worked it out manually from watching the video and can now play it reasonably well. Maybe I'll write up some tabs and share it in a comment so he hopefully shares it!
@@cirrus393 please let us know if you ever decide to post it! Many of us would be super grateful!! Hats off for learning through the vid must've taken quite some time
I've been working on my fingerpicking for 3-4 years now, and I still cannot get the hang of a thumb pick. You my friend have incredible control over your instrument. Great cover!
Your playing is so lovely, I can’t help but smile. As a 17 year old I still want to learn a lot about music and I have been demotivated lately but a video like this pushes me further to pursue music
