Southern Pacific 4449 Through The Years 

Southern Pacific 4449, America's most beaitful Steam Locomotive.

I am heavily satisfied that SP 4449 was preserved and eventually rebuilt/ returned back into service hauling excursion trains across the nation since 1975. SP 4449 is one of my favorite 4-8-4 type steam locomotives that are still in operation today in the modern era.

Such an iconic streamlined steam locomotive. I do miss when she's painted in the 90s. And I hope she gets painted as the American Freedom Train for America's 250th Anniversary.

She's my most #1 favorite steam locomotive ever. My grandparents my two uncles and my dad saw 4449 with the American Freedom Train in February 1976 while living at San Antonio, Texas. I got a great chance to see her in 2009 for the year's Train Festival at Owosso, Michigan.
