it's just my humble opinion but Southern is by far one of the most important exciting HBCU, marching bands today hell I would love to see them take down The Mighty OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY MARCHING BAND I love my NC A&T, Marching Machine but Southern is the best sounding band I have seen Alabama bands Texas Southern , Bethune Cookman, Florida A&M Grambling but by far Southern is the best came to North Carolina and put on a show
OSU (the "so-called best damn band in the land.....my ass, LMAO) keeps running, Mr Graham. Southern challenged them in 2005 and 2008...they RAN or did not respond.
Southern's sound is so sick! No one can touch it. Their SOUND CLOUD ACCOUNT (goes back MANY years) is like a goldmine! I'm surprised the world didn't come to an end w/Mr. Haymer plus da Beast Mr. Taylor plus prodigy Mr. Simmons LEADING & ARRANGING one band. No other band in the country stood a chance!!!
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY does not want and of the juke. The same way Alabama in its glory years under bear Bryant ran from the SWAC schools mainly Grambling. But as an SU ALUMNI I stand in confidence saying WE ARE THE GOAT! much respect to other HBCUs
