Great shooting mate and your video does the course justice , i was playing on the same day and you were on course when i teed off . If you ever want a game in the wind let me know and you can experience ' normal' conditions !! lol

Must congratulate the camera lady as she made some great shots too! I've played Southerness. Teed off in the morning mist & couldn't see the 4 ball in front for the whole round. Had an super lunch, the sun came out and it was as you found it - Beautiful and pristine - a joy to play. Interested to see where you go next.

Andy great round of golf on what is auch a good course....its off the beaten track but definitely worth the trip.... Powfoot just along the way is another hidden one....enjoy Portpatrick! ⛳⛳

Southerness is terrific but those long par 4s keep coming - it’s a tough track in any sort of breeze. Great vid Andy. You get a real flavour of what it’s like to play the courses you review with just enough history and background. Perfect.

Bet you were buzzing for a couple days. 🏌️ Did the same last year, I shot one over 73 and it was my lowest round ever ( and I was 69 years old). The only regret was, I got greedy going for an unexpected eagle on the 17th a par 5 and three putted for par. Then when the round ended and I totaled up my score, I was kicking myself for not ensuring the birdie and getting aggressive..lol. Kept the gold ball and wrote 73 on it. Had my playing partners sign the card.

Great vid Andy and well played. You can't beat a calm, flat day playing a links course. I've had it at Prestatyn and Seascale and they were so peaceful to play. Plus, it make the game a lot easier !

What a treat, Andy. I spent a formative couple of years as a young country member at Southerness while on family holidays 30 years ago. Learnt much of my golf there. And what a place to learn. Thank you for reminding me of this wonderful course and for convincing me that I need to get back there. Soon.

I played 36 holes on a scorcher of a day with my brother there four years ago. I absolutely loved it and laddo holed a bunker shot that even the greenkeeper gave a round of applause to. Now I've got a new hip I'll need to get back out there.

Southerness Golf Club beat me up as a Teenager 28 years ago never seen Heather and Gorse before and it destroyed me 😩 what a course and I've always loved the club emblem I think it's one of the best around, I'll be definitely booking it before September, great video mate.

Was there this Summer. Great track in great condition. I liked the low profile feel there as well. Stayed at Clonyard House down the road which was great as well!

Stayed in the holiday park across the road a few years back. Had the pleasure of walking the course, definitely plan to return to play it some day
