Great question! In my experience as purely a holiday maker, I would say, all of the above, dimensions, decor, build quality. I have stayed in static caravans that start at 10 foot wide and others that are 12 or 14 foot. I have also previously stayed in 16 foot wide ones which have been then called lodges which had improved fittings, maybe extras that you wouldn't normally see on statics that were reserved for bigger unit, such as washing machines etc(though more and more statics have these now) Typically I would say static caravans are 28 foot-35 foot long and maybe max 14 foot wide and lodges are around 35 foot plus long and 16 to 20 foot wide, though with everything there are exceptions. The easiest way to think about it is that a 20 foot wide lodge is essentially 2 10 foot wide caravans joined together to make one much bigger unit giving you the extra space and I suppose as with cars, such as supermini and family car, the bigger the vehicle, the different category it fits in. Hi from what I remember, there are quite a few in one area of different grades but I think there are some possibly private owned dotted around the site, but I'm not 100 per cent certain
@Mamadoyle if you go on the parkdean website and look at southview or search Google they have a map that you can download of the site. We were in the meadows area on the map.to give you idea where this lodge was we have previously stayed in a Lodge in the sunset area. We really enjoy the site, we are actually going back at the end of the season in November in a caravan
