Southwest Airlines: Our Purpose and Vision 

I’ve been trying to get hired on with Southwest for the past 2 years... I am very happy to say that I start with this amazing company on Monday.

This video was 6yrs ago, but today I find myself in tears! Wow! Thank you Southwest Airlines for a human heart in action!

I have been trying for 8 years to get on with Southwest and this video is a perfect example of why I never gave up. December 9th 2013 I became a Southwest Airlines Supervisor. I LUV it :)

I have to comment and say how incredibly touched I am by the stories on this video… Its truly all about people, connecting with people and being kind. I am due to interview in a few weeks for an inflight position with SWA and I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity. This video reminds us all of what an airline should be all about… purpose and vision and not just another ticket in a pouch. I am so excited to possibly become part of a culture that knows what it means to put humanity first, to touch others lives and to be kind. Thanks for having this video out there to brighten my day!

My friend just talked me into using SW tomorrow to Denver when I had already planned on using another airline. Already I like the fact I can take luggage if I wish. Going to a funeral, so this is so important to me. Not only will I have an early booking seat, but I think I get to sit next to my friend also attending this funeral -a celebration of life for our dear Friend. Thanks again.

As an HR Professional, I have read case studies about SWA and what makes them great as a brand and employer. I am taken by awe after watching this video, I had goosebumps all through out. SWA is undoubtedly a great example of a brand truly living by their values. I really wish I get to work for them one day.

I have commuted on Southwest Airlines for approximately 13 years, and I can assure you that I have seen their employees displaying love and trust towards their passengers. It is true they have been given the "sacred responsibility"! Thank you!

Its July 2016 the week of the outage and the Southwest family has done a remarkable job!! Thank you for getting our son safely home.

My ultimate goal is to work for this amazing company! Southwest by far is my favorite airline to travel with. The staff is always super friendly and supportive.

As I’m thinking about it I was extremely lucky to get the opportunity to work with Southwest airlines I passed the phone interview face-to-face and getting ready for my background and my fingerprints to clear my head for thinking about it I might have to pass up on opportunity because me and my family are in huge debt and I don’t think jumping from 18.99 to 12.94 will help us I know I will hate my self and get emotional but I have to take care of my family and I pray that one day I can reapply but I don’t think I can wait a year to get a raise to where I’m making enough for me and my family. And this is the hardest decision I will ever make in my life

For 16 years I've flown with Southwest and recently I've decided that why not make my LUV for this outstanding airline a career, though careers out of Baltimore aren't easy to come by, I won't ever give up! The stories you hear about the family of Southwest from their President and CEO to the airport family is always so heart warming, and the thing that touched me most happened when I returned to Baltimore last night, when a Captain offers to go down below and get your walker for you, I was beyond touched in addition to all the help the crew gave me so to show my LUV and appreciation I recommended a commendation on Monday for the awesome and so helpful crew, I'm so looking forward to making a lifelong career with this wonderful airline!

My first flight with Southwest was on December 28th 2015 on my way to Las Vegas Nevada to be reunited with old friends and see Celine Dion for the first time in my life. The staff was amazing, the flight crew was unforgettable and the flight was so comfortable. I will never fly another airline again!!! I'm so sad Southwest doesn't fly to Canada because I will be going there this summer to see Celine and I can't fly with them!! Bummer!!! I'll be back to Vegas in January and the only flight I'll fly to and from is the one and only SOUTHWEST. You will forever be apart of the memories I make on these trips!!!

I WANT to be Southwest Airlines!!!

My family and I have flown on Southwest several times and they really do go above and beyond their call of duty. Their customer service is top notch and I really enjoy flying with them. The ONLY downside I have with them is the lack of inflight entertainment but that is minor compared to everything else.

Southwest is by far the BEST airline in the who world. They have the best customer service. They care about there customers more than any other airline. For you guys you are fully devoted to customer service. They make everyone who has ever traveled with them feel like they are now part of the southwest family. when i was younger i did all the research projects on southwest. What sets them apart from other airlines is they make it the best experience possible. I would fully recommend southwest to ANYONE. This is a legendary airline that everyone should respect. I just watched the "Purpose" Video while waiting to apply for the flight attendant position. I cried joyfully throughout the video. I have stopped crying, lol. My first flight on Southwest Airline in January 2018 was so amazing. Wanting to see Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm and Malik Jackson perform in the Georgia Dome was simply awesome. Excellent customer service and flight attendants help ease the mind.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE SWA!! It has always been my dream to work as a flt attendant but life took me other ways wife, motherhood and working in social work. Plussss at 54 I’m a little fluffy lol. My brother in-law was a pilot for United but was furloughed. I still used southwest instead of United because of the BEST employees. It’s my hopes that he try’s to get on with southwest. I’m excited to fly next month as my husband and I fly back to Texas for the holidays. I will be saying the safety talk under my breath while my husband laughs and rolls his eyes AHHH WELL ITS MY DREAM!! Thank you sir and allll employees of the greatest airlines!!

This is exactly why I want to work for Southwest airlines. My dream finally came true ... I have an interview for a customer serivce agent on Friday. I can't not wait. I've always wanted to work for Southwest Airlines. Southwest Is not like these regular airlines. They take care of their passengers and the treat you like family. We fly southwest whenever possible if they fly where we’re going. I’m actually disappointed if they do not fly to our specific destination or the area within driving distance. The flights and flight crew are always the best. But I did not realize how much so until I had to fly with another airline. Southwest is truly the best!

Southwest is the most admired airline in the whole world.

Southwest is as good as any other domestic carrier here in the US. You can't compare them to other bigger airlines because its apples and oranges. Southwest is really good to me. Safety is the main thing I'm concern with which means competent pilots, friendly flight attendants and well maintained equipment. That's what's important. You want a bigger seat, fly another airline and sit in FC and pay for it. Here is St. Louis if it wasn't for SW we wouldn't have hardly anything to fly. Thank you Southwest!!

When dude mentioned little rock, my heart soared. I fly for the first time on August 8 from Little Rock to Denver. At first I just googled flights, and United was the cheapest... Not going there though. Fortunately, reddit guided me to Southwest, and I spent a few dollars less for what I feel will be an infinitely better experience. Never would have thought there'd be such a difference between airlines. My expectations are nothing but positive, I'm already feeling the "luv" (though that spelling drives me mad!)

What really makes Southwest the best.

To whom it may concern. My name is before Beatty and I flew your airline on April 2 6:45a flight 1028 departing Phx international to Denver. As my son and I were boarding the plane there a good size gap between the airplane and the jet way. My left leg fell through the gap. I was instantly suck. The flight attendants helped me up as my knee was twisted. After I was helped up , the flight crew went on with their duties. I was not asked if I was ok nor was I asked tofill out an incident report. I proceededto my seat and Asked the flight attendant for some ice. I never got any ice, the gentleman sitting next to me was concerned and offered me Tylenol. Landed in Denver and went on my way, at this point my knee hurt but I hadn’t had a minute to see the damage. - [ ] Made it to my sisters house and Instantly put ice on it. I went several days taking pictures of my injuries and Seeing what would transpire . I email Southwest Airlines twice and no response. I called a number of which I was disconnected two times. The person I spoke to said put a report in when I get back to Phoenix international airport, I talked to a gentleman name Jeremiah I’m the lost baggage area and wrote a report and insured me that I would be hearing from someone from Southwest Airlines, and was not. I called. And was told to push opt 5 to get a person to take my statement. This went on for days. I saw a knee dr on. And I have a contusion under my skin in my knee. I was told to get physical therapy, I’m which I am in the process of scheduling. You will see several photos that are dated of my injuries during my trip to Colorado to take her ashes to lay. On. I talk to a brian in which helped me email again. Vanessa from Phoenix international airport was very friendly and said she contacted southwest with my incident and nothing came of it. I am the type of person that puts up with a lot of crap. I haven’t not experienced 1 person from your company that had asked me if I was ok or even an apology. I work for a major company and our motto is #1 customer service and that’s what we do. It’s respect and Sympathy with people that have had a traumatic experience. It’s call good business skills and caring. I am so frustrated and Appalled that a company like Southwest Airlines could be so heartless. - [ ] Debi Beatty. 5207807804

Southwest is my favorite lo cost carrier yes i even like them better than jet-blue because the service is very good and the prices people are really put first on this airline. And they are very efficient more so the other airlines almost never ever late while Jet blue has terrible on time percentage.
