Awwww yes!! Nothing like the smell of Jet A!! Love working the ramp. It's a dangerous job for sure, but!! It's also one of the funnest jobs I have ever had. I love Southwest. Such a fun airline.
Hope you were offered the position ioxstar81. I worked close to 17 yrs for Southwest on the Ramp in 16 different stations. Best advice i can give you is to always watch your back and do everything according to the GOM. Southwest isn't about rewarding the people who do the job right it's about writing them up so that there will always be a letter or 2 or 3 in your file. The Slackers usually go into Leadership with the Southwest mentality that a metamorphosis will happen with a terrible God awful agent becoming a Role Model Leader. Keep a tight close circle of friends you can confide in due to the dozens and dozens of opportunists out there who will throw you under the bus for any reason. I'm not trying to discourage you but watch the Southwest Kool Aid intake. Good Luck and stay safe always.
I have my over-the-phone interview tomorrow morning for ramp agent. I'm nervous and excited because it will be the first interview I've had in 7 years. I currently work for TSA and am in need of a positive change. Everyone at Southwest seems so happy to work for them!
@@KalHimself man you got it. I just went through the same process. My class/team that I had my first 3 weeks of training with are headed to Dallas this Sunday for the Dallas training.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. I love Southwest and use it to fly to Las Vegas every year. The takeoff and landings shots were awesome too. Thanks for posting this.
I can't wait I going to fly Southwest Airlines in October when I go to Las Vegas for holloween Weekend I never flew Southwest Airlines I heard so so so so many good things about it My best friend that's all he flys is South West Air lines he loves it
Hope that things work out for my buds in Ground Ops with Elliott Investment looking to take over. I shed no tear of Gary Kelly leaving and hopefully Bob Jordan will be right behind him soon. Stay safe my friends and watch each others back.
20:20 Seeing how they toss the bags around, I understand how my heavy bag was broken when I flew home for work around Christmas time when it was crazy busy.
Hungowa, views you do not see every day ! Spectacular camera angles and vivid colors of the SWA corporate design scheme, (the best there is!) NIce work , "PGDK". A+++ SUBSCRIBED.
Looks like MDW? Getting excited to start the next chapter in my life and going back to work on the ramp for SWA. I worked for the old Midway at MDW and Northwest at multiple locations on the ramp.
@I don't fist bump people like you. nah man I showed up a few days and kinda lost my nerve. Got back into GIS computer mapping. I may try it again one day
The typical Southwest Airlines Ramp Agent makes $13 per hour. Ramp Agent hourly pay at Southwest Airlines can range from $11 - $31. When factoring in bonuses and additional compensation, a Ramp Agent at Southwest Airlines can expect to make an average annual salary of $27,659 .
@@jacklesmithda3rd502 I make 13 an hour for a third party company that supports a few airlines. I’m in west palm. I hope to get 17+ an hour somewhere in the future after gaining experience
@@tapoutz29 the information posted is incorrect. SWA ramp contract is publicly available on the union website. first 6 month wage is 15 something and top out is 32.06. If you go to Denver for instance your starting pay is closer to 20 an hour factoring station bonus. Swa needs people so something to chew on.
Why are walking pass the wing, you're suppose to stay with the wing, hence being a wing walker?🤔 I do the same job and we have to guide the plane out beside the wing. 🤷
At 14:07 my man is holding the wands the wrong way. His left hand one should be up and the his Right hand should be down. And yes I am being that guy..
