Good friend of mine has flying anxiety from a takeoff a Burbank, he didn’t know they had a noise ordinance lol. 100% a better airport to go through instead of LAX
Yeah, it's much smaller than LAX, has no international flights, and only has flights to destinations in the western US, with the exception of Chicago and New York
I'm afraid my mother was largely responsible for that noise ordinance - after moving a block from a long-existing airport! She spent YEARS fighting for it. She hated airplanes and flying. Personally, I LOVED the airport and the airplane noise and I spent many happy hours parked on my bike next to the runway, watching takeoffs and landings.
Nice views of my home; Burbank, North Hollywood, Lankershim Blvd, Ventura Blvd, the Hollywood Freeway, & Van Nuys. It all makes me homesick. Looks like your plane was heading towards the Bay Area. Let me guess….……Oakland Airport
Probably the longest taxi at a small airport like Burbank! And they actually renamed the airport to Bob Hope airport. Instead of Burbank Hollywood airport.
