The remote islands of Samoa, Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu in the Southwest Pacific hold a fabulous variety of very special and beautiful birds including the eye-searing Orange and Golden Fruit Doves, Horned Parakeet, Taveuni Silktail, Azure-crested Flycatcher and many more. The regions most famous avian gem however is probably the striking and unique Kagu which is endemic to New Caledonia.
