Romans 10:20-21
20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
The descendant of several generations of Independent ministers, Charles Spurgeon was born at Kelvedon, Essex, and became a Baptist in 1850. In the same year he preached his first sermon, and in 1852 he was appointed paster of the Baptist congregation at Waterbeach. In 1854 he went to Southwark, where his sermons drew such crowds that a new church, the Metropolitan Tabernacle in Newington Causeway, had to be built for him. Apart from his preaching activites he founded a pastors' college, an orphanage, and a colportage association for the propagation of uplifting literature. Spurgeon was a strong Calvinist. He had a controversy in 1864 with the Evangelical party of the Church of England for remaining in a Church that taught Baptismal Regeneration, and also estranged considerable sections of his own community by rigid opposition to the more liberal methods of Biblical exegesis. These differences led to a rupture with the Baptist Union in 1887. He owed his fame as a preacher to his great oratorical gifts, humour, and shrewd common sense, which showed itself especially in his treatment of contemporary problems. Among his works are The Saint and his Saviour (1857), Commenting and Commentaries (1876) and numerous volumes of sermons (translated into many languages).

Revelation 3:7-13 English Standard Version To the Church in Philadelphia 7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the Holy One, the true One, Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one will shut, Who shuts and no one opens. 8 “ ‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie-behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. 11 I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. 12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ EPHPHATHA!!! IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE KING OF KINGS. EPHPHATHA!!! IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE LORD OF LORDS. BE OPENED!!! IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE ALPHA AND OMEGA. HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH NEVERTHELESS NOT MY WILL BUT THY WILL BE DONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE HOLY OF HOLIES! AMEN AND AMEN THANK YOU LORD JESUS! ALL GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST 🔥

The Judgment Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment would be farces if "free will to choose" was not true. Think on these things:. how could souls be judged and held responsible if they were predestined without free will? Is that just?.

Humans have the option to choose to do evil deeds and to choose good deeds. However, our fallen nature loves sin and hates God. Therefore God must do what He says in Ezekiel 36:26-27 (notice how He says the He will give us a new heart and that He will put His Spirit within us and that it will cause us to walk in His statutes) so that man could walk in obedience to Him. Like it is written in Romans 8:7, the unregenerate mind (those in the flesh) does not submit to God, NOR CAN IT DO SO. The statement/question you have imposed is quite literally the objection raised in Romans 9:19, which Paul then proceeds to rebuke in verse 20. We have no right to question Him about this and instead must accept His Word rather than try and fit our human philosophies into Scripture.

@@douglasmcnay644 Romans 9 is referring to ISRAEL and God used his sovereignty to bring about the blood atonement of Jesus, but NOT personal salvation. Believe, choose, have faith, trust, so many more verses directed to us Now to accept or reject. God would not make choice an illusion

John Calvin was called the Pope of Geneva because he held his subjects within doctrinal boundage areas responsible for killing approx. 60 people, because they didn't believe what he believed (i.e. the false doctrine of tulip, regeneration before faith). Modern calvinist gloss over that and are not ashamed to be called after his name.

@@ChristisLord...and also a murderer of approx. 60 people including children. That's why he was called The Pope of Geneva.
