This is a fun mission, but a bit disappointing for a "final" mission in a campaign. After Fort Bradley part it's basically a standard 2v1 skirmish since allies only have one big base. Also - a lot of ways to cheese this one: - Natasha can snipe the Statue from the refineries zone. - Send in a bunch of Kirovs from the back to snipe the Statue. - Send in a bunch of Twinblades from the back to snipe the Statue. - Dreadnoughts. There are probably less ways as to how you can mess this up, since almost anything you do is an easy win heh. Enemy structures are so exposed while defenses are focused in the middle of the island.. Allies and Empire had waaay better final missions in this game.
Yeah the Soviets get the raw end of the deal here with their campaign. Super disappointing to not have anything more exciting. I only went with dreadnoughts/Akulas 'cause I neglected them elsewhere in the series.
You must destroy the Statue of Liberty, and that'll make the allies submit! I mean, everyone knows that's how it works, that's why in Red Alert 2 they went west to east attacking the Statue in the final mission! ...wait, they didn't? They destroyed it in the start of the allied campaign and everyone fought back? I'll just chalk it up to messed up timeline shenanigans or something, and not to the writers getting confused about order when repeating story beats.
In this timeline, people cared less about the Statue of Liberty, clearly. It's also an "own goal" because the SoL shares ideals with socialism and communism.
