That G.91 rocket strike at the start was insane, but I think they would have been better used to shoot down those helis. With their 30mms and relatively slow speed, they are pretty much guaranteed to kill any medium heli in one pass, and with how stupidly cheap they are, they’re probably the most cost-efficient heli-hunting plane in the game. Plus, you aren’t worrying about missing an IR missile like most other planes lol. I always keep a card in my 2nd panzergren decks just for that

That timing on the enemy’s rocket barrage is perfect for their side. One of y’all should’ve invested in some heavy artillery, or maybe I failed to notice one of y’all to do so Anyway, I’ve yet to play this game. Wonderful match though!

Ah the 2nd panzergren... my favourite Division. They're a weird bunch to play, but their infantry and air tabs are absolutely worth it. One funny little thing these guys get is the F-104 starfighter AT variant, you get like 4 of em in total. Their aim is piss, but if they hit an Abrams that thing is dying. Unironically one of the best things in warno. One game against the M1a1 Acav division had me in stitches by the end of it!

that konkers on the tip of the town you engaged with your Leopard 2s at the first half of the game were bugged and took no damage nor supression from all those shots by your tank's gun

@@VulcanHDGaming I can’t use bo helicopters for rec or mh53 in log and the g91 and most of the aircraft in armoury aren’t available for Germany when I try and make a deck. Which is confusing

Man, they threw a LOT of planes at you. What counters that much AA? Obviously could try to flank and go after AA units. Is artillery effective against AA units?

Artillery will tear AA units up in most cases since they're typically light on armor. Just a matter of how attentive the opponent is and how easily the AA can relocate and how soon you can get rounds outbound on target.

Ideally, one would see their opponent has invested a lot of points in AA and is doing radar management to avoid SEAD, and would quit throwing planes around except to trade upwards(suiciding a 200 point cluster bomber to kill a 250 point tank for example is still a worthwhile trade). Instead, an opponent would see all that AA and just invest in ground attacks. Artillery can be very effective against AA units, since you can see where missiles originate from you can direct artillery to attack the AA without getting recon to see it, and AA units are typically fragile. I-hawks are especially vulnerable to this, since they are very slow to move.

The mistake was continuing to buy expensive aircraft when your enemy was investing so heavily into AA. Just cut your losses and only invest in air again if you manage to kill a couple AA.

There's a unit scaling feature for making it easier to see when zoomed out. The Mi-26, which is already big by helicopter standards, looks comically large and is kinda the poster child for the effect.

Basically, just no phase locked units and no frontline. Just an updated Wargame variant without the ships, and the best parts of SD2 mixed in.
