Im so tired of people complaining about censorship... yeah, we get it, we know its annoygin to be treated as little kids. Matter of fact is this channel, as well as History Hit, is providing us with tons of hours of amazing documentaries that would be very difficult to get in an organized and properly ordered manner if not for them. RU-vid has annoying rules, that has nothing to do with the great work War Stories is doing into archiving all these amazing docu series and shows. My only gripe is the titles they give to the actual documentaries sometimes make it difficult to identify the original title.

Every foreign army was part of ss for germany. In the case of the baltics, their armies were immediately administrated as ss troops without prior consent.

Bigger one never compromises because they can just force smaller ones to do what they want Smaller one should compromise every time if they want unity! Tito was one of those rare Leaders that just makes people want to follow you. He knew his countries internal prejudices would erupt violently as soon as the Germans/Italians were chased out. The type of $hitty capitalism practiced by Eastern Europe in the inter war years made Tito into a Small Case Communist, Tito was the most market minded of all the Com. Leaders. After the war Stalin tried his best to trip up and assassinate Tito but never could (Stalin was absolutely power mad, he wanted to be the Communist Boss, this is one reason the Soviets and Communist Chinese had a bad falling out, Mao didn't like the way the Soviets looked down on & talked to them. it even erupted into gunfire at one point).

The fact is Russa only stopped the Germans by pulling most of its Manchurian army that was facing Japan, the IJA had close to a million troops in Manchuria that did nothing to support their so-called ally. Same goes with the Mediterranean where they ignored Malta which ended up being the key to controlling the sea where axis forces reinforcements to Afrika would get wiped out.

Watching this documentary you'd think that the British were the main reason why Europe was liberated... Russians are continuously called "clumsy, "simple" when in fact 8/9 of all German military casualties in WWII came from the eastern front while they were fighting Russians. The T34 tank was considered to be the best tank of the war up until the new versions of the Leopard tank came out. In Yugoslavia, it was Croatian Ustashe and Bosnian Hadzar SS division who were fighting alongside the nazis, the same groups of people who the British support now hence almost nothing was mentioned about this. While at the start of the war 90% of Titos partisans were Serbs. All because of the ethnic cleansing done by the Croatian Ustashe movement which killed close to million Serbs, Jews, Gypsies in concentration camps. In Greece, the biggest anti fascist movement came from the socialists but once the British saw that they were winning in Grece, they sent their own army to turn the tide and kill the movement and kill the people who fought alongside them against the Germans. It's disgusting how many of half truths were to told in this documentary. No mention of the dirty little document signed between Churchill and Stalin as to how to divide Europe between them? Historical facts it seems don't really matter...

Yugoslav partisan movement numberd 800 000 combatants. It looks that without British help they weren't capable of winning the war wich is not true although that was very useful.
The arrival of the Communist Red Army saved Titos's communist Partizans. If the Allies invaded southern Europe via Greece rather than via Italy, Tito's Communists would have gone the same way as the Greek Communists.
I do love how in this section about Greece, it makes it sound like the British were completely a political, just trying to think of the greater good, while those dastardly groups within Greece tried to decide what kind of future they want for their own country. Looking at World War II, especially the allies against the Germans as a good versus evil conflict is naive in the extreme. Yes the Germans were the bad guys, but let’s not pretend like most involved didn’t have Noble as well as completely selfish and opportunistic reasons for fighting.
June 1944 et seq saw the liberation of France, but eventually stopped Stalin from rolling all the way to the Atlantic. Political strategy can be dirty, but Europe remained free . . .
In Yugoslavia Concentration Camp Yasenovac made by Croat fascists kill people 500 000( wast majority victims were Serbs civilians) to the very end of WW2, so you see Titos Partisans weren't that effective . Although theirs free territory was very close.
You've got two generations of people (gen y and z) who have seen these WW2 docs in censored versions. That is why their convictions are so weak and lopsided; their call to action so delayed.

i always wondered how the germans would fair if in 1941 they just stopped in ukriane and the baltic nations and just played defense avoiding the harsh winter even tho they we right there about 260 miles till moscow thoes 260 miles killed them they would still lose prob cus the soviets would of just chip chipped away in 1942 but yeah
